EPISODE SIX
With that, they parted for their homes, each already feeling lonely. Allen moved more briskly so that he would not be late for the program he had in church, he had to get home quickly so as to get himself prepared. As he walked, a lot of thoughts ran through his mind.
"If Celine goes back to Megiddo, I will be almost lonely because I do not have any other close female friend. Well, why should I worry, am a man of my own self, after all, I have always been alone without any girl beside me." Celine on the other hand was moving relatively at a slower pace. Just as Allen, a lot of things were running through her mind.
"Allen, a very nice young man, very disciplined and responsible, easy-going and soft-spoken and of course handsome, very handsome, even more handsome than when we used to be in school. Am really going to miss him.
I wish to stay longer but am doing nothing in this place, so,
I have to go."
Just then, she stopped to catch the funny sight of a mad man who was dancing with all his might in the midst of onlookwrs. After feeding her eyes for some minutes, she walked on. A few metres away from her house, she was halted by a lady she was not familiar with. "Hi, sorry for the disturbance," the lady said. "It's okay."
"I am Lina," she said, extending her hand to Celine. Lina had been looking for a chance to have a chat with
Celine, in order to at least know who she was to Allen. Celine, giving her hand to Lina replied.
"I am Celine." "That's a nice name."
"Thanks and yours too." "Thank you," Lina said with a smile. "Sorry, do you stay around here?" Lina asked.
"Yes, my place is just a few metres away from here, is there a problem?"
"No, it's just that I have been seeing you for sometime now and I will love to know a little about you." Celine chuckling said, "what do you really want to know about me?" "Anything you can tell me, I just want to be your friend,"
Lina said still smiling.
"Ok, like I said earlier, where I stay is just a few metres away from here. Though that is not my permanent home, I just came to visit my aunt, I actually stay in Megiddo." "Ahh... Megiddo, where Allen came from, that's good. So do you intend to go back to Megiddo?" "Yes of course, I will be going back in few days' time."
Lina was happy to hear that. "Now she will give way for me to be close to my Allen," she said in her heart.
"So you know Allen?" Celine asked. "Yes we attend the same church."
Without wasting time, Lina quickly added.
"Is he your fiance?"
"Hahaha," Celine laughed. "He's not, we were just school mates back then in Megiddo that's all."
Lina was really glad to hear that. Satisfied now she said. "It's ok Celine, let me not keep you standing for too long,
maybe I will see you next time, bye." "Bye, take care," Celine replied and they parted.
Lina walked home visibly happy.
"I thank God Celine is not his girlfriend," she said to herself with a smile. She got home and slumped into a sofa with a relaxed mind.
"How do I get him? What do I do to get this Allen? Hmmmmm, I think I know what to do," she concluded. When morning came, Lina did her household chores. It was a weekend so she had time to relax. When she was relaxing, she felt her feelings was growing stronger and stronger for Allen.
"Ohhhh my God," she groaned. "I can't take this anymore."
She stood up, dressed up and walked out of the house just to see friends. In the company of her friends, both males and females, she could not help but shared how she felt about Allen. One of those friends advised that she should make it known to him how she felt stating that Allen might even be interested in her but might lack the courage or may be shy to approach her but Lina's other friends advised that she should wait a little longer stating that if Allen was hers, he would definitely come to her at the appointed time. Lina, because of her great feelings for Allen, found the first advise very good and from that day on, sought ways to make her feelings known to Allen. The young woman's feelings were so great that she would sing with Allen's name, composed poems and beautiful write-ups with his name. She shed tears each time she read or sang her composed poems or songs she had written about Allen. Each time she put her pen down to write something about Allen her beloved, her heart, her body, her mind and her everything, her soul melted.
