EPISODE FIVE
Lina's feelings continued to grow each day. She usually saw Allen at least two times in every week. Sometimes, if accidental, three or four times. Each time she saw him, she would think that would be the day he would tell her what she has been longing to hear from him but Allen always kept himself away even though he liked her to an extent. Lina at one time noticed the closeness of one Celine to Allen. Her heart burned each time she thought of the closeness of the duo. "Is Celine his relative, casual friend, girlfriend or fiancee?" she thought.
Yet she only sought a way as to get Allen's attention but not to push away Celine from Allen. As a matter of fact, she even had some degrees of likeness for Celine as a person. Celine was the daughter of Mr. Nathan. She attended the same school with Allen at Megiddo, where Allen resided before relocating to Ammu. Celine's aunt Mrs. Prisca had been married in Ammu for a long time and Celine had gone there on a visit when she surprisingly ran into Allen at a provision store that was not too far from Allen's house.
Being old classmates, they got acquainted to each other with ease. Throughout Celine's stay at Ammu, she and
Allen had always moved together. One evening, Allen and Celine were seen discussing heartily under a large Mango tree. "So, how do you see this town, nice isn't it?" Allen asked Celine.
"Yaaa, it's a nice place and the people are very courteous and polite."
"Nicer than Megiddo?" Allen asked. "No, no, no, Megiddo is a better place Allen." "Ok o. So when will you be going back?"Allen asked. "In three days' time," Celine replied.
"Three days!?" Allen asked astonished.
"Yes, is it too close?"
"Of course yes, you have stayed here for just twenty seven days, three days from now will make it one month, I was thinking you will be staying for up to three months,"
Allen said with seriousness in his voice.
"Three months!?" Celine said almost shouting. "That's too much Allen, am I that jobless?"
"But you have not gotten a tangible job yet."
"Thank God you said a tangible job, it doesn't mean that I have nothing doing." "It's alright, I will miss you Celine," Allen confessed. "I will surely miss you too," Celine replied. "I think I have to go home now. I have a program in the church by 6:00pm, so let me go get prepared," Allen announced.
"It's ok, maybe we see tomorrow." "Yea, bye say hi to your aunt." "Alright I will do that, bye."
