EPISODE TWELVE "You can never have my number!" This made other passengers to turn towards their direction to see what was going on. Sam, in confusion, quickly apologized to her for the disturbance he had caused. He even regretted talking to her. He felt embarrassed as everyone was staring at him with raised noses. "This is one of the things I hate. Who does she think she is? A goddess or the queen of England ?" A wave of hatred for Lina swept through him and at that instant felt like dealing her a blow but what could he do, they were in a public place and moreover, she was very right to reject whoever she wanted to reject but that didn't mean she had to be rude to him. When the vehicle got to Ammu, Lina and few other passengers alighted while the vehicle went further because other passengers including Sam, were to alight at other nearby towns. At Ammu, Lina could not wait to get home. She walked briskly until she was inside her apartment. She dropped her luggage, took a cold shower, wore a nice evening dress, a nice pair of shoes and some ornaments which added beauty to her appearance. With that, she headed straight for Allen's family house. While there, she greeted Allen and other members of his family. Everyone looked sad and gloomy, nevertheless, Allen declared that he was happy to see her. She was secretly thrilled at this but tried as much as possible not to show it. She was lead to the room where Jonas was. On seeing his condition, she was moved with pity. She sat praying and weeping silently for him. He was asleep so he didn't notice or feel the presence of anyone in the room and she was left alone with him. Lina prayed for about twenty minutes after which she left the room to join other members of the family. She chatted with them for a while before announcing that she would take her leave. Allen offered to accompany her to the roadside, they both talked on and about some things, especially the ones that took place in Lina's absence. Lina wished that the conversation never ended. In no time, they were at the roadside, Lina who wished that the conversation never ended, felt disappointed. Bidding themselves good night, they parted. As far as Lina was concerned, it was a bad night because Allen did not tell her that which she longed to hear. She stood at a spot for some minutes thinking about Allen and wondering if his heart was made of stone. "This is hurting, is he not seeing the green lights I am throwing at him or am I not beautiful enough for him?" She wondered while looking at her self all round. "What on earth can I do to get him for myself? " She stood there carried away by her thoughts until a cab pulled up, she boarded it and headed home. While in the cab, she did not stop thinking about Allen, the man she had ever wanted with all her soul. How could he be this oblivious of all that she was doing to get him. Maybe she should speak with his sister so that she could talk to him on her behalf. The idea sounded nice but she never wanted to appear desperate. "No, I won't tell her," she said aloud unconsciously while shaking her head. This got the attention of the others in the cab towards her and she felt embarrassed.
