Maka rushed into the palace and stood before Ezra. "Yes Maka? Tell me." "My Lord, Logan had been visiting the earth lately. I have the hunch that he had been visiting Leo." He blurted. "How sure are you?" Luna asked. "Very sure my Lord." "Weldone Maka. You shall be rewarded abundantly. You may go." Ezra pronounced. ******* Gwendolyn walked briskly down to the music studio, she opened the door and walked in. Oscar was sitting by the drum set. Alone. She started wondering where others had gone. Not even Eleanor is present. "Good morning Oscar." "Morning. Did you need something?" "No. I thought I can come here anytime to practice?" "Of course not." "Why not?" Oscar stood up from the drum set and walk towards to her. "Look here young lady. I told you I don't want the problem of any of the Marcellus. Why are you bent on disobeying?" "Disobeying? What are you talking about?" "What have you done? What is your problem with Wesley? See, I am tired and sick of all of these. Now can you just back out now? Enough of all these." "I don't understand what you are saying Oscar." "I don't need you in my band. Not any more." "Did.....you know....what you are talking about? I spent almost every day to make things right. Do you know what I went through to get my voice done? You can't do this Oscar?" "Of course. Out of this place Gwendolyn. I don't want to see you here anymore. I don't. " Gwendolyn stood for a while. She feel like crying. But she couldn't. She just stood looking right into Oscar's face with so much anger boiling inside her. She had tried all things possible to make things right. And now, it's all gone. "Okay. I will leave." She said with clenched teeth and made for the door. She opened it and slammed it shut very hard as she headed out. She collided with Eleanor by the corridor. "Hey babe!" She tried greeting. Gwendolyn ignored her and go on running angrily through the corridor avoiding to burst into tears. Meanwhile in the studio, Lucas seems to be boiling with rage. He is hissing repeatedly. "You can't be dictating for me Lucas. Not you." Marcellus spouted. "Nobody is dictating for you Marce. We just have to make things cleared between us. Lucas is just showing it in a wrong way." Owen defended. "What's the use protecting him?" He bawled. "I think this is enough. What should we do now? The contest is up now." Wesley put out. "That's no problem whatsoever. I have found the solution." "What solution?" Asked Owen. "I had bought Sophie Connor." Marcellus pronounced. "Sophie what?" Lucas asked surprisingly. "Oh no!" Wesley grumbled. "That's cheating Marce." Owen retorted. "Do you know what cheating is all about?" Sophie Connor is a growing female artist of the year in music in the country. Three days ago, Marcellus had called her Manager and had put the busines forward. Sophie had accepted to play with them after agreeing on a substantial amount of money. Now, others seems not to be in support. "What is so wrong in having Sophie in the school?" Marce asked angrily. "Everything is wrong with it Marce. Why would you bring a celebrity into the school contest?" Lucas demanded angrily. "Do you know how far I had gone with this?" "Does it matter now? You chased away every single chance we got to having a female lead singer. What are you expecting?" Lucas retorted. Marcellus moved close to where Lucas was standing, nose to nose. "What did you just say Lucas?" "In fact, I'm out of this damn band. Okay?" Lucas pronounced angrily walking out. "And don't ever think you're coming back." Marcellus called after him. "This is all nonsense." Owen spits going after Lucas. "Fine. You can all go. I don't care anyways." Marcellus called after them angrily sitting on the cushion. "What have you done Marce? Do you think if Charleigh is here, she would have wanted you to depart with your friends?" Wesley demanded. "That's the least I can do. What else do you want me to do? I'm so much obsessed. I can't even think straight. I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. There is nobody I can share this with. I don't want to hurt Charleigh. I don't know what to do if I still have it in mind that she is still out there somewhere. I can't take that in Wesley. It's too much for me. Let them go. I don't need them anyways." He lamented "Put yourself together Marce. Think straight and act like a man." Wesley suggested walking out of the studio. Marcellus bent down his head. He brought the bead and started rubbing it in his palm. He knew she will come for him. And now, he thinks he is actually crazy. Maybe there is no Charleigh anywhere anymore. He burst into a solemn cry. What could be more dangerous than this? He couldn't fathom. Olivia was angry because Jocelyn didn't come to watch her performance during the race. She was busy doing what she thought will never get her anywhere. "I'm highly disappointed I must say." She said angrily. "I really don't know it happened. It just happened. Look here Olivia, I love Lucas. It may sound stupid but it's true. I love him. I really I'm sorry for not attending your match." She apologized. "It's not necessary anyways. There is no chance of my winning even if you're present." "I know Layla won. I can see it in her eyes yesterday when she comes back." "Yeah. She did. Now?" "I'm so sorry Olivia. I am." Suddenly, Layla walked up to them. She was panting. "Hey Joce?" She called breathing heavily. "You. What's wrong?" She asked curiously. "Your father. He has been taken." "Taken? What are you talking about?" Olivia asked. "To the sea." Layla pronounced. "To the sea? He went to swim?" Olivia asked surprisingly. Jocelyn stood for a moment trying to picture the scenario. How Layla found out about them doesn't matter at the moment. "Wait... did he drown?" Olivia asked nervously. "I'm going to get Gwen." Jocelyn pronounced running off. "What do you mean by that Layla? How did you know?" Olivia asked as they rushed after Joce. "You don't know who your friends are?" "What do you mean?" "You'll see." Layla said as they rushed off. It took them three minutes looking for Gwendolyn before they came across her at the studio corridor where she was sitting helplessly. "Gwen?" Jocelyn called walking towards her. "Are you okay Gwen?" She demanded as she bent down besides her and the duo looking. "Nothing. I'm fine." She pronounced weakly. "They've got Leo." Gwendolyn's eyed lightened up. "What do you mean?" She asked standing up of a sudden. "Layla told me." "Can someone tell me what's going on here?" Olivia asked bewildered. "Dad? Oh no!" Gwendolyn lamented. She took the lead and others followed. "Hey! Wait up. What! Are you leaving school? What are we going to tell Mrs Watson?" Olivia called after them. Twenty minutes later, they found themselves in the house. Everywhere was scattered and from afar, the marine site had been dilapidated. And there were crowd and press men around. "What should we do Gwen?" Jocelyn asked shakingly. "What's going on?" Olivia asked. "Will you stop asking questions Olivia? Please. They just took Dad." Gwendolyn bellocked. "Cool." Gwendolyn sit on the chair exhaustedly. She wanted to think. Olivia was looking at the three of them trying to figure out what was happening. Layla just sit staring blankly at nothing in particular. Just then, Gwendolyn's phone rang. She checked the caller, it's Madam M. "Hello Ma'am." She boomed into the phone. "The surgery is commencing tomorrow Gwen. Be prepared." She pronounced from the other end and hang up the call. She was down. She stared at Joce for a very long time. "Tomorrow." She pronounced quietly.
