Kidnapped

I woke up in Logan's arms the following day, but I didn’t feel as content as I was earlier. Sure, Logan still made me happy, and I can say I still have feelings for him, but seeing that handsome dude walk in yesterday just muddled me. Logan had introduced him as Brock; this Brock was so damn good-looking I found myself staring at his stormy green eyes. I had offered my hand, but the handsome guy ignored it. While Logan was kind and loving, Brock was withdrawn and cynical, and he hadn’t even glanced my way last night. I shifted from the sofa, and Logan's eyes opened. He agilely jumped to his feet and put on a shirt; I stared in awe at his perfect body. “I’ll be out today, scouting. I’ll leave Brock behind to give you a tour of the city; you can trust him,” Logan said, kissed me goodbye, and left, sighing. I wore a golden dress Logan had given me and stepped out. I met Brock standing outside. He looked irresistible. His dark hair was slicked to one side; his build was even more pronounced than that of Logan. “Logan asked me to meet you,” I said. He nodded and didn’t say anything; his face was expressionless, and he started walking away. I had to jog to catch him with him. “Are you the beta of this pack?” I asked, trying to start a conversation, but as usual, the dude ghosted me. I bristled inwardly. This dude was so cold and looked to be in his world, but I couldn’t help but be drawn toward him. He showed me around, but I was too distracted to focus on what he was saying. Instead, I listened to the sounds of his deep baritone, and when he wasn’t looking, I glanced at his handsome face. I liked Logan in a way, but Brock's case was different. I found myself wanting to know him more, but the guy was not even giving me room to start a conversation. “So, ever loved a lady?” I blurted out, and Brock turned to me, his green eyes were so cold I stumbled back, and he sneered at me. “It’s none of your business,” he snarled and walked off. Seriously! What was this guy's problem anyway? I jogged after him, and he turned back to glare at me. “Tour’s over, go home,” he growled, and I stood where I was, staring into his eyes. They were ringed in yellow. “Fine, but Logan said you should escort me home,” I said, petulant, and Brock looked furious at being trapped. Fur erupted in his arms, and I stepped back. “Fine!” His voice was more profound as if two people were talking at once. He shook his head, “Move along” he said and we trudged back up the hills leading to Logan’s house, the splendor of the house still amazed me. Brock said nothing at all and if he hadn’t spoken some words, I would have said he was dumb. We came to Logan’s front door and he turned to go. “Brock” I called and he froze and turned, his green eyes darkened and he scowled. “What is it?” he said impatiently, and I stepped closer, he was so tall, even taller than Logan. “It is nice meeting you, Brock” I whispered and surprise lit his features before his stoic mask fell back, and he looked away. “Thanks” he muttered like the word was bile, then he spun and leaped, as he leaped, he transformed into a huge black wolf midair landed gracefully on his paws, and bounded into the woods, I stared at his torn clothes and picked up a fabric. I inhaled; Brock smelled manly, and I wanted to keep smelling his scent as long as I could. “There you are,” a voice said and I turned to see Logan, hands in my pocket smiling, I hid my hands behind my back. “Hey,” I said and kissed him while shoving the fabric into my back pocket, he smiled into the kiss and pulled away. “Did Brock show you around?” Logan asked. “He did” I confirmed and Logan smiled at me, I couldn’t help but smile back. “Don’t mind his cynical self, he had some issues when he was younger” Logan said, “I am the only friend he has for now.” “Oh,” I said; no wonder the dude was so cynical, but he was also arrogant as hell; his roguish good looks seemed to always draw me to him, and when I am with it’s like Logan is completely wiped out,,,, from my memory “I don’t know if you are my soulmate, Amy, but we’ll find out during the mating ceremony. I want you to know that from the first day I saw you, I have fallen in love with you,” Logan said, and my heart soared for an alpha; Logan was so sweet. I stared at his handsome face. “I love you too, Logan.” The words sounded weird in my mouth, and I didn’t feel okay saying them. “Good,” he said; he opened his mouth to say something when a lone howl rose into the night, and other howls rang out. Logan stiffened, and his eyes turned yellow. He roared in a challenge, and around us, Grimclaw werewolves came out of their homes with weapons of all kinds. “What’s happening?” I asked, and Logan turned to me, his eyes still yellow. “Invaders,” his voice was impossibly deep. It scared me. “Go inside, Amelia,” he said, and I ran inside. I peered through the window to observe what was going on. I watched as a loud explosion startled Logan, and he howled, an eerie, chilling sound, and Grimclaw werewolves howled in response. Logan grabbed a large silver sword and roared. He looked terrifying; his yellow eyes had turned red, and with a shout, he ran towards the forest, and thousands of Grimclaw werewolves followed suit, charging behind him. I watched from my vantage position to see the invaders charge at Logan and his pack, and then, with a large crash, they slammed into each other. I watched as Logan and Brock worked together. It was so beautiful. Logan, with his incredible strength, disbanded warriors left and right. While Brock calmly cut down warriors, he seemed to have an aura around him; anytime an enemy came near, lightning bolts would drop, incinerating the person. I stood in awe and shock as the battle raged on below. What have I gotten myself into? That was my last thought before something slammed into the back of my head, and I sunk into oblivion.
