The figure took a step forward, its eyes locked onto Victor with a fierce intensity. "You're the one who's been hiding in the shadows," it growled, its voice low and menacing. "You're the one who's been pulling the strings."
Victor sneered, his fangs bared. "And who are you to confront me?" he spat.
The figure took another step forward, its eyes blazing with fury. "I'm someone who's been searching for you for a long time," it said. "I'm someone who's going to make you pay for what you've done."
As the figure stepped into the light, I saw its face clearly. It was someone I had thought was long dead, someone I had given up hope of ever seeing again.
"Alexei?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.
The figure's eyes flicked towards me, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of recognition. But it was quickly extinguished, replaced by a fierce determination.
"You're coming with me, Luca," Alexei growled, its eyes locked onto me with a fierce intensity. "You're going to help me take down Victor and his empire."
But before Alexei could reach me, Victor lunged forward, his fangs bared. "You'll never take him alive," he snarled, his eyes blazing with fury.
And with that, the room erupted into chaos. The sound of snarling and growling filled the air as Victor and Alexei clashed in a flurry of fangs and claws. I watched in awe as the two powerful beings fought, their movements lightning-fast and deadly.
Valeria stood frozen, her eyes fixed on the battle with a mixture of fascination and fear. I knew I had to take advantage of the distraction to try and escape.
I struggled against my bonds, but they were too strong. I was trapped, forced to watch as the battle raged on.
Suddenly, Alexei landed a lucky blow, sending Victor crashing to the ground. He stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion.
"It's over," Alexei growled, his eyes blazing with triumph. "You're finished, Victor."
But Victor just smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "You think you've won," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "But you've just triggered the trap."
As he spoke, the room began to shake and tremble. The walls cracked and splintered, and the sound of rushing water filled the air.
"What have you done?" Valeria cried, her eyes wide with fear.
Victor just laughed, a maniacal glint in his eye. "I've sealed our fate," he said. "We're all going to die down here."
And with that, the room began to flood with water, rising fast. Alexei's eyes snapped towards me, and I saw a glimmer of desperation.
"I've got to get you out of here," he growled, rushing towards me.
But would he be able to get me out in time? Or would we all be trapped beneath the city, forever lost in its dark and deadly depths?
