Once bitten

Chapter 4

Yzzy (Yzobel) drove to their school together with Lei (Melia) and Kaz (Kazandra).

They choose to use her dark blue Porsche than to be sent and fetch by the Duke's limousine. Though they love him so much they don't want everyone in the school to know that they were the Duke's blood daughters. They want to spent their time here as normal as they can get. And being known as the school's owner daughters would prevent them that. Good thing that they still use their own surnames so they can get away with it.

Building one is where the freshmen classes are held. So they make their way onto building one.

Though they were called freshmen, they'll only spent five months as one. On the next semester they'll be sophomore. Then next year, they'll be both junior and senior through their third and last semester.

They walk through the reception hall as they make their way to the stairs that will take them to the classes they are in. Unfortunately they are not classmates.

On the first semester, halflings are put on the same class as what their other half is, only the full vampire, means they doesn't have any other creatures blood on their veins, can choose which class they want to be. But on the next semester, they're all have the right to choose their class according to what subjects they want to pursue until they graduate.

Being what they are, they can't help but hear the hushed chatters as they pass.

"Have you heard? Prince Kaiser choose the half human/half vampire class?"

"Yes! I can't wait to meet him. I wish I am his mate."

"Girl, who doesn't want a prince for a mate."

Lei and Kaz snickered at her, she just rolled her eyes at them.

"So it means that anyone can meet a prince in class?"

"Yes!"And everyone involved in that conversation giggled.

"Have anyone of you seen Prince Kaiser?"

"No? Well I guess he's got great looks coz the triplets are gorgeous."

Everyone knows the triplets cause they are celebrities in human world.

And base on their social media channels they love being in the spotlight.

As they reach the stairs they just nod at each other and climb the stairs that will take them to their respective class.

Kaz turned left where the werevamps are assigned. Lei goes straight where magic vamps are. While she turned right. The hallway through the classrooms is almost empty because almost everyone was still in the reception hall. There are only four rooms in this area and each room only have 20 students each.

She had learnt that half human/half vampires are the least students enrolled in here because they were the ones who have the shortest existence. Most of the human halflings died either of old age (for humans) or sickness, before they are bitten.

As she walk to room one,where her class is her mind wander to the reason why her sisters snickered at her when they heard the comment that no one wouldn't want a prince for a mate. Yes, she don't want a royal for a mate. Considering that the Duke regards her as his first child, the Duke knows that she doesn't want the title. Because for her she's not capable. She was born on a simple family and was orphaned at a young age.

She learned to dealt life with just being by herself and support herself on her own. That is why she didn't have the difficulties adjusting in this kind of life. She's so used in keeping to herself, not minding anyone's business. So she thinks that she can't be a royal that needs to tend their people.

And for that mainly reason that when she met a fellow halfling who was half-witch just like Lei, she asked how to make a potion to hide her scent to other supernaturals.

The potion would make her scent appear as if she is a human. But it can't hide her scent on her mate. Though it will make her scent faint, so faint that he can only smell her if he would be smelling her directly through her pulse points.

As she gets near to her classroom, she smell the most delicious scent she ever smelled. Her mouth began to water and her fangs starts to protrude. Her heart began to beat erratically. Her palms are sweating and she pants as she tries to calm herself.

She knows exactly why she is behaving this way. And from the direction of the smell where it came from, it only means one thing. One of her classmate is her mate. Frankly, she's not ready yet to meet her mate. It's only the first day of school!

Good thing Lei is such a potion master. She made a potion that would make the same effect to her mate but didn't take away her scent as a halfling.

With trembling hands she pushed the door and step inside.

There are four people inside three male and one female. The two male and the female look on her direction when she came in while the other one seems so engrossed on the book that he was reading. They were all sitting together. The three males are on the back, the one reading is sitting near the window. The female who was sitting in the front of the two that she realized, are twins, stands up going to her with a sweet smile on her face.

"Hello, my name is Brianna, but please call me Brie," she hold out her hand to her.

She takes it and replied, "Izobel, just call me Izzy."

Brie didn't let go of her hand and takes her to the three.

She held herself from withdrawing her hand as the delicious smell assault her senses gets stronger upon nearing where the men are seated.

Brie look back at her when she felt the slight trembling of her hand. She turned her eyes to guy reading but he didn't raised his head on his book.

Izzy can see the confused look on Brie as she return her gaze on her, then fell on their adjoined hands.

She give her a nervous smile.

"I'm not used to meeting other people." She give her another smile, an apologetic one, this time.

She dropped her hand this time to introduce her.

"Izzy, this is James and this is Drew." Pointing on the left and then to the right. She stood in the middle of them and said, "They are my mates," she giggled.

Yes, in their world, siblings that shared the same womb, also shares mate. Because for them, their soul was just splitted, thus only have one soulmate.

"And that one, who can't seem to take his eyes on that book is Kai."

Upon hearing his name, he raise his head and turned his attention to them. He slowly turned his gaze from Brie to her, and she can't help but gasped as she seemed to drowned to his deep blue eyes. She was mesmerized and amazed at how good looking her mate is. His face seemed to be at lost at first upon seeing her face, then starts to frown as he tried to smell onto the air.

Before he could speak, her eyes widen and her mouth formed an O, when realization hits her as she recognize who her mate really is.

"You're Prince Kaiser!

No, no, no! Moon Goddess what did I do for you to do this to me!
