Marissa's POV:
"Yes Father, I understand the steps must be completed in a particular order. I will ensure that we are both seated outside to watch the sunset this evening," I managed to speak up and say so that he understood I was going to follow his explicit instructions.
To be honest, although I did not mention this to him, I actually forgot about the last part of the spell. I did not recall that I needed to watch a sunset with whoever you cast the Enchantment Spell on or the fact that the spell might not actually work properly. Maybe that is why the turtle died. It did not have any memory of what it was supposed to do, so it was just stuck in a state of mental confusion. I don't know, I don't care. Anyways, it's a long time since that happened.
