Jackson's POV: I got up even before the sun started to light up the sky. I quietly walked down the stairs and she was still sleeping soundly. I walked over to her and could see her in the gentle light of the fire. I placed a few more logs on top of the glowing embers that I had sitting there beside the fireplace in the wood cradle. I grabbed a fire poker and poked at the glowing embers to turn them around and back under the fresh logs to spark more fire to grow. One major benefit of being out here in the wood is the constant supply of wood for the fire. You never had to worry about running out of things to burn.
