Derek's POV:
As we neared the entrance of the mine, I could tell that we stumbled upon an entire wolf clan. I could tell that due to being able to distinguish numerous separate scents that were being mixed up as their scent poured out the entrance of the mine. I knew that we had to find the place where they would take her. There was no doubt in my mind at that point after coming across the same scent that I had seen earlier that day in the hallway just outside her room. I was trying not to get overly anxious as I was hoping that she was uninjured. With all the different mix of scents, I did not once catch the scent of Rosalynn. Her scent was not there or at least I have not been able to catch a glimpse of it in the air just yet.
