Vampires and Werewolves

841 Words
Hidden from ordinary humans, which were called mortals, there is what they call the Underworld Society in which creatures such as Werewolves, Vampires, and Hunters coexist. Werewolves could appear in either Human or Wolf forms. According to the myth, they originated from a genuine wolf that was blessed by the Moon Goddess who granted him a chance to become human. But when the full moon rises, it would forcefully turn him back into its real wolf form which eventually came to be called the ‘Curse’. It was unknown how long it took before a Werewolf could freely shift into either of their human or wolf forms. Even though they are no longer restricted like in the past, there are some who are still affected by the full moon. Nowadays, Werewolves have full control of their bodies. They could shift into human form which was no different from normal humans aside from having stronger bodies and unbelievable strength as they blend into the mortal world. They could also turn to their wolf form anytime they wanted, where they would look no different from a normal wolf aside from their bigger physique and taller height. With the werewolves having human attributes which are closer to the mortals, they are easier to be accepted by humans who are aware of the Underworld Society. This includes the Hunters as they think werewolves are less harmful than vampires. On the other hand, Vampires are also called ‘Bloodsuckers,’ ‘Undead,’ ‘Fallen Angels’ or ‘demons’ due to their unique attributes. They are potentially immortal whilst being mainly beautiful and exquisite creatures, as beautiful and enchanting as the elves, but very seductive and highly s****l beings. Though they have remarkable appearances, there is still some contrast as their skin and body temperature are cold as ice. Even so, they can still pass as healthy humans, and could still walk undetected among the living. They look no different from normal humans aside from their unique and different eye colors which made them easily distinguishable in the Underworld Society. However, Vampire history has a collective version. One such version made them known as the ‘Undead’ predators. It was said that they originated from the living remains of the deceased; monsters who were raised from the dead and crave for the blood of the living hence, the term ‘the undead’. While the other version came to be due to their ability to shift form as a bat or a wolf, which caused a great feud between vampires and werewolves, rejecting and despising each other. Just like werewolves, it was said that they were originally wolves, blessed by the Moon Goddess to take the form of a human. Unfortunately, due to the wolf’s carnivorous nature, they craved for blood instead and started becoming blood sucking creatures. This caused them to be cursed and forcefully turned into a bat instead of a wolf as punishment every full moon. Consequently, they are not very welcome in the society as they are known as blood sucking creatures, even though most of them could fully control their thirst for blood. They do consume blood, but not all of them would consume human blood as some would prefer to drink animal blood. There are those who were considered 'vegetarian' and eat mortal nourishments. Additionally, Vampires are not the same as those depicted in the books and movies; about them not being able to stay under the direct sunlight. Still, most of the vampires could hardly stand to stay under the sun. Although it was unknown why some of them would get their skin burned by direct sunlight, it was determined that this would depend on the purity of their vampire blood. In a way, there was also a distinction between their statuses. The most fundamental history of Vampires is originally the ‘Fallen Angels’ who have the ability to control elemental powers. They are originally angels who have fallen due to temptation and turned into ‘Demons’. With their human form, they could have dark-feathered wings with sharp talons on their hands and fangs who preyed on humans. *** Seeing that Lyra was listening attentively, Alex continued in a nonchalant tone of voice. “There is also what they call the 'Hybrids.' They are those who were born between the union of either vampire, werewolf and humans.” Then he continued to explain... Due to the werewolves. being closer to humans, they can’t avoid forming relationships and eventually having families with humans. Given that, the union between werewolves and humans would ultimately lead to them producing offspring that they call ‘Hybrids.' On the other hand, Vampires have very low chances of conceiving. It was very rare for a vampire couple to procreate. The few lucky ones can only have one or two children while some didn’t even have one. Hence, some of them would marry or rather have children with humans, or turn a human into a real vampire to reproduce. As a result, another variation of Vampires started to exist.
