Alex has mentioned before that she already had her vampire awakening which caused her to sleep for a long time.
Although he didn't explain in detail how it happened, it was enough for Allen to know that her current situation had nothing to do with her vampire blood.
She didn't seem to change physically.
Alex told her that the process of awakening to any werewolf would first cause them to feel sharp pain deep into the marrow as their bones would give off cracking sounds while the bones shift and alter their position and size.
Then, their blood would feel like it's boiling, heating their body like a hot stove. Finally, their skin would start to peel off, changing into a robust layer.
Right at the moment, none of those aforementioned signs of wolf awakening are manifesting at all.
Aside from her blood that kept on boiling, turning her body into a stove, the feeling that each of her pores was being pricked by uncountable needles kept on occurring to her body, not the feeling of skin shedding or anything else.
Feeling completely irritated because of her bizarre feelings, those deep dark eyes keep on flashing in Allen's mind.
"What the h*ll was that?!" She was stunned.
Allen wasn't even thinking of him, but her mind seemed to keep on reminding her of how he looked at her.
"F*cking wicked dog!! Next time I see you, I will rip your throat!" Cursing as she slapped the steering wheel.
"You met a werewolf?!" Alex's words rang again, the phone call was still ongoing, Allen forgot about it after she stepped in the car.
She might have placed the phone in the passenger seat, away from her ears but with her strong hearing senses, she could still hear what the person is saying on the other line.
There was a continuous sound of buzzing winds on the other line. It could be because he was in a hurry that Alex used his vampire speed instead of using a car to find her.
His voice full of worry, anxiousness and panic kept on asking a myriad of questions. "Did you get into a fight? Are you hurt? Did you get wounded?"
"Just where are you now!" Allen didn't answer those questions, but asked his location in between gritted teeth, trying to endure the feeling of something coming out from her body as she continued shaking.
She had a high tolerance for pain due to what she had experienced before, but this kind of discomfort is different.
It wasn't the kind of pain that would make her suffer, but something unknown was slowly rousing from deep within her.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
There was a knock on the car window. Allen didn't turn her head to look at who it was but immediately unlocked the car.
Despite being contained within the car and her eyesight turning blurry, she could already smell a unique light bloody scent mixed with a sharp citrus fragrance, watery freshness, sweet and refreshing, it was Alex.
Soon, Alex opened the door. Worried and wondering as he bent down and took Allen in his arms.
He could feel her body shaking. "What the hell is happening to you? Come and hold on to me tightly..."
Pulling her out of the car, Alex closed the door and locked it before turning around, carrying Allen in his arms. Using his unimaginable speed, leaving the parking lot.
There was no response from Allen as she encircled her arms around his neck, leaned close, and buried her face on his neck.
He could hear her panting next to his ears, sometimes she would take a deep breath while her teeth were chattering as she continued clenching her jaws.
There was an unnatural silence between them, only the whizzing sound of the wind that passed by their ears as they continued their journey.
They were running in a blur, but despite the urgency of the situation, Alex would cautiously jump through each of the building's rooftops under the moonlight.
It was not long after when Allen heard a click, the sound of a door opening before Alex carefully laid her down in a soft bed.
She opened her eyes, despite the darkness of the surroundings, she knew they're home. She was finally back in her room.
Before she could speak, a sudden thick smell of blood mixed with a sharp citrus fragrance, watery freshness, sweet and refreshing scent penetrated her nose.
This is the smell of Alex's blood, the same as hers when she bleeds.
Allen opened her mouth to speak, but Alex, who was seated beside her, suddenly placed his wrist before her mouth. Making her soft, burning lips touch his cold skin.
"Drink! It will help calm your nerves down," Alex's mellow voice rang in her ears. His voice still sounded the same, full of worries and anxiety.
Alex opened a wound on his wrist for Allen to have a drink of his blood.
With the same taste of the scent she smelled falling in her mouth, Allen can't help taking a big gulp.
A cooling sensation was finally brought into her throat as the burning feeling slowly subsided, but a yearning for blood came up in replacement.
Her fangs slowly emerged from within her mouth, opening her jaws wide enough before it instantly penetrated Alex's flesh. This caused the blood on his wrist to flow more vigorously.
Allen held his arm tightly while pulling it closer to her as she continued taking big gulps of his blood.
The sweet taste of blood made Allen crave for more, making her translucent emerald eyes slowly turn dark red, as beautiful as a ruby, shining within the darkness.
At the same time, a flash of memory appeared in her mind, it was a blurry sight, but a hoarse yet unrecognisable voice seemed to whisper in her ears. "I had no choice, my child. I can only choose to sacrifice you. You should be honoured to be part of it."
