Using the smallest amount of her energy possible, I watched as my mother carefully carved a small piece of stone from the wall before placing it on the ground in front of me.
"We'll start with seeing if you have an affinity for earth magic. If so, it'll be the easiest one for me to teach you."
"What if I don't?"
"Then that's fine, I can still help. I would just be able to give you more guidance with earth since that is the elemental magic I possess."
