Jackson finds me a little while later sitting on the beach, digging my toes into the soft white sand. I had been too distracted by my swirling thoughts to walk far, so instead, I had meandered up to the small cove that was just out of sight of the villa and plopped myself in a shady spot while I contemplated the situation.
