Chapter 3

"You're quite... savage.." Baron Dionishio said and he forcely laugh to ease the tension of the atmosphere around us, specially when I entered the room. They look scared and I can clearly saw them sweating bullets. they can't even look straight at me.

"Let me ask you a question my barons." I look at the three of them who's look like their gonna pee on their own pants. "Are you regretting choosing me as your master?" They didn't answer me. they just sit there in front of me and looking at their shoes like it's giving them some strength. "Ok then. I'm giving you three, a last chance to choose. are you going to work under me or not?" I waited for their answer. it takes them a couple of minutes to answer my question.

"If we ever stay under you, and we somewhat do a failure in the near future are you going to kill us?" Baron Alacantre asked. so he thinks that I'm a madman too. which is maybe, half true. I really don't care how people thinks of me as long as I'm doing what I think is right and what I think is wrong. 

like people always say: WE have different perspectives in life.

"If it's kind of failure about work that I will give to you in the near future it doesn't matter how many times you made mistakes as long as you can fix it right away but if you are pertaining to a failure of giving me your loyalty and betray me in the end, I won't kill you. but I will make sure to make you regret breaking my trust I gave you." He stared at me like there's something in my face. "What? do I look like awesome?" Baron Alacantre blink his eyes not just twice but thrice.

"Yeah, kind of. you look somehow... cool." He laughed and then he suddenly shook his head. "You really scared the s**t out of us earlier but I know that I choose the right master I will be serving. We may suddenly accepted your proposal to serve you but we can just know more about you on the way while we are working."

"Sure. I'm not a madman (maybe a little) so don't be scared. I'm not going to kill you just because I felt like it or you somehow annoyed me. I'm not that kind of person because if I am, surely, I must be killing my personal maid repeatedly."

"But are you not afraid? what happened earlier might be the gossip tomorrow." Baron Fayne said. "I'm still kinda afraid of you because you act so recklessly and you do not think twice like how you suddenly promoted us to a baron and giving us your trust but I'm going trust the trust baron Dionishio has on you. he was also shock at what you did earlier but his trust on you didn't waver even a bit. he was... well, after you.. you, you kill the servant he looks so proud of you specially when you pulled your gun out."

"We don't have a problem with the gossips. Lamira will handle that." I smile at them and look at baron Dionishio who is daydreaming by himself. "Looks like he's still reminiscing what happen earlier. no wonder he's  so quiet on his seat.

"Ah, yeah.." We all look at baron Dionishio hoping that he will notice our stare at him and luckily he did.

"Eherm, I.. uh, ahm.. just thinking something... haha. where are we again?"

"Never mind baron Dionishio. anyway, I saw my clothes in my cabinet. I'm wondering who made those?"

"Didn't you the one who ordered to make those clothes? then you know who made those. did you forget already?"

"Yeah. who is it?" Renericia doesn't really care for others. she only cares for people she likes and she love. she acts like a weakling who's like a dog of the imperial family but she's also a cold-hearted. well, her family is to blame for what she became.

"I heard, the one who made your clothes is that 'weird woman'  I thought you cut your ties with her."

"Why would I? she's a great tailoress after all."

"Are you sure you want to meet her?"

"Yeah, I'm going to invite her tomorrow. anyway, here's some files, inside of it is the work I respectively chose for you barons. I already arranged everything. there's also some imperial stamp on the papers. this is all legal and is under my name. we will be apart for months since our goal here is to finish everything as soon as possible. don't let anyone get a hold of this papers and employing is not allowed. I advice you to do it yourselves or you can help each other instead. meeting dismissed. I look forward to your good work baron Dionishio, baron Alacantre and baron Fayne. until we meet again." 

Before I left I saw how their emotions change after reading the papers I worked hard. they looked amazed but also struggling. they must be already thinking of how they are going to do their work with their due dates with no manpower since they only have is their selves. Anyway, I know they can do it. I still have a lot of problem and I need to solve those first. I mustn't waste any time.

"My lady."

"Nice timing, Lamira. Is there someone you know who can copy a person here? well, I hope there is."

"There is. but only her family who knew about it and she's kinda bossy since she is an only child. I just found out her secret by accident. thankfully, she doesn't know me."

"Really? so, who it is?"

"Ramiya von Capell, daughter of duke Capell."

"So she's an aristocrat. Is she a trusted person?"

"Yes. but like I said she's kinda bossy."

"It doesn't matter. I just need her power for the mean time. "

"Why?"

"She's going to replace me. I'm going outside for days to find a trusted comrades." I look around us to see if somebody was there, what we are talking about right now is very confidential. "Give her personally a letter and when she agrees, take her here immediately. she should be in her disguise because there might be a spy that could recognize her identity. we must act discreet."

"Copy, my lady. by the way are you not going to feed me after all those works? it's tiring you know." The heck?

"Tsk. what a thick face. did you forget that my life was at stake earlier? haa... why even ask me when you could just get it?"

"Our chef is so strict. I need your permission."

"You can just make it up duh."

"He doesn't believe me, duh"

"Duh" I rolled my eyes on her.

"Duh" And she copied me. this stupid convo, tsk.

"Get out. call those new knights in my office."

"Sure thing."

"And bring me my food, you pig."

"Proper etiquette my lady, proper etiquette."

"Shut up. I'm not originally a princess."

"But you are now."

"Argh, I said shut up. dammit. just go will you."

"My lady is-- afgkst" 

She's so energetic to the point that I want to smack her down. haa... but having her beside me is not that bad either. there's no such person who could talk back at me on my previous life. oh there is. I forgot his name for some reason but he was the one who killed me. it's the vice-captain. I'm so dumb to realize just now how he hates me.

"Did you call us my lady?" I look at this two handsome men. I lean my back on my chair and I slightly stretch my body.

"I did. There's something I want to tell you." I waited for them to ask me but it looks like that they're also waiting for me to continue my words. "I didn't bother to look at your personal information since the moment I saw, that you two are the personal knights of the emperor. only means that you both are trusted people. but.." I left my seat and went two steps away from them. "Since I took you away from your position I'd like you to be my personal knights instead. your mission is no difference from your mission before. you just need to protect your master at all cost. do you understand?"

"I understand." They both said in sync.

"Mah ahdy, or fowd i er." (My lady, your food is here)

"Can you please knock the door before you enter?"

"ont wan toh." (Don't want to)

"You two can go---" My word stops when I saw these two men drooling at my food. Are you freaking kidding me? am I having more pigs on my side? "Psh, get out.. all of you."

"Eh?" They said in sync

"I said get out. leave me alone. if you want to eat then go, fill your heart to the fullest." They immediately left me for food and I who is standing like a statue and looking so shock. seriously this people. I went back to my seat and I continued reading my papers. 

I have some papers about the matters within the empire and as usual illegal works and corruptions doesn't disappear easily. those bastards only thinks of themselves when a disaster is coming to wipe every kingdoms out of this world. I opened my item storage which is one of my greatest secret and I put all the confidential papers there and soon after I cancel my game-like item storage someone stormed my office. it's none other than the third bastard prince.

"You! tell me what you know! the imperial blood is in danger but you killed the person who would lead to it's mastermind!" The third prince grab my dress collar and pushed me at near wall. that's the exact position the second prince and my new appointed knights saw when they entered my office.

"Light stop hurting your little sister!" Shadow shouted.

"Little?! She's no longer little! she could even kill a person! and she is not my sister!" I bitterly laughed that made him stop a little.

"After all the bullshit and the mess you've made so far, at last, we agreed in one thing and that's how I do not recognize you, the princes as my brother and you who despised me so much that you do not want to accept me as your sister." I saw an uncertain emotion at his face but his sharp demeanor soon came back and shoot a glare at me. looking at his face with those disrespectful look and how he handles me as he pushes me on the wall made me so annoyed.

"Let go!" The knights pulled him away from me.

"My lady! are you ok?" I shoot dagger at Lamira who asked that question.

"Get that bastard away from me! from this day onward he is not allowed to put a step to my palace!" Shadow eyes widen.

"Renericia please don't do this. he's still your bro---" I cut the second prince words.

"Let me rephrase it." I smirked at him. "From this day on, I announce that the princes even the king himself is not allowed to put a step on the princess palace, my palace. In the name of Renericia de Inglid (Danee Manalastas) "

"Ha! don't spout nonsense! who do you think you are?" Light mocked

"I'm the first princess, who is blessed a divine stigma."

"You liar brat! brother, the crown prince has the stigma!" I laughed at him and look at the second prince who is becoming pale as the time passes by. Just like his name is, he is a shadow who protects the imperial family and it's deepest secret.

SHADOW: A name that the first king announce that must be named after the second prince to protect the crown prince behind. but if his future successor only had a one prince he must also be named shadow as he will be the light and shadow of himself.

but those are just nonsense words to cover the truth behind the name shadow.

The real meaning behind the name SHADOW is that he protects the real history book that includes all the deepest secrets of the imperial family. The secret was passed down by the king's successor and the one who will be named after it. the Shadow of the imperial family. Renericia find it out when her second eternal sleep. she was planning to stalk me but she spotted the second prince who's looking suspicious and followed him. the advantage Renericia has when her soul is out of her body she could still touch things if she wanted.

And one of the deepest and most important secret she found out is that there is a second stigma. A stigma that only a princess will have. A bigger at stronger than the crown prince has.

After dying, Renericia ask the person she's with on the other side of who is the person who found that secret and kept it hidden in the dark. And that person openly answered her.

She was told that the first king closest friends are the one who wrote it. The first priestess and the first magician. The stigma are only meant for the king and it will vanish when his successor came of his legal age but before the second stigma came the first king died causing for the closest friends to broke apart. the priestess, Rafaela is left behind the imperial palace to watch over them and the magician, Vale locked himself in his tower to find a spell for reviving. 

After years passes the first king grandchildren are born. The first prince was assassinated, the second prince was named Shadow, the fourth prince is weak due to his illness and the third prince who is in his good condition came on his coming of age and received the stigma of his father. After the first king died and the crown prince his son ascend on the throne some of the aristocrat showed their hideous evil scheme and it's first step was to kill the first prince and the empress that came from the prestigious noble family. the second prince, the twin brother of the first prince survived the assassination. as the aristocrat didn't had the chance to kill the second prince they planted an enemy inside the imperial palace. that is to marry the daughter of the duke of the aristocrat faction. the Lezherel dukedom.

The second king has no choice but to marry her. The king and his faction was planning to crowned her lover. A daughter of a Viscount but there is still a year to come of her age and the aristocratic faction grabbed that opportunity. when the daughter of the Lezherel married the king she was crowned later on for having a child but when the aristocrat faction found out that the prince is weak due to his illness they tried to assassinate the daughter of Trazane Viscount but she was already protected under the king and married her.

But the aristocrat family made a devious plan. they put a maid inside the palace made the king drank an aphrodisiac and put the empress in his room and soon after it was declared that the empress is pregnant. when the fourth prince was born he was healthy after the empress gave birth the first queen was declared pregnant. they hid the first queen as danger is always keep coming after her life but she died giving birth of the first princess. The aristocrats and the empress triumphant smiled when they learned the news. A woman's job is to wait to get married. having a woman sit at the throne of the king is a biggest disgrace.

The king and his faction lose the fight when the fourth prince received the stigma but when the first princess came of her coming age the imperial palace went on chaos when she received a bigger stigma. The priestess, Raphaela prayed an answer for why would the first princess received a stigma that almost occupied her whole bare back. All of the goddesses showed themselves at the first priestess and only god is sitting at the middle some gods are on their respective throne but they did not showed their physical appearance. All of the goddesses and the god in the middle were looking down at the priestess and is giving her an intimidating stare.

"You ask why we blessed that girl a stigma? It's to show to those insolent fool  humans how powerful women could be."  Nemesis, the goddess of the revenge said

"This fool beside me failed to put restriction on his blessing to how deserving the human is to receive the blessing. that's an i***t for you because you only seek fighting and destruction you muscle head jerk." Iris, The goddesses of rainbow and also the messenger of the gods nagged at Ares who kept his silence but he does look like his regretting it. The remaining god and goddesses didn't say anything. after thanking them the first priestess came back from her world and immediately went to the first princess but when she came there blood is flowing at the ground and lots of assassins even those who is in disguise as a maid are lying at the ground lifeless. When Raphaela look at the first princess she did not saw a child's eyes. those eyes she has are so cold and lifeless. When a assassin went after her she beheaded it like she was used to doing it.

"What a messed up life. after dying once I'm going to have my second life with the same people around me. damn." That time, Raphaela found out that the original princess has passed away and the soul inside the first princess is a different person. The first princes wiped out the traitors inside the imperial palace and sat at the throne. she became the first queen but she died protecting her son from it's own father who is from the very start are on his half brother side. the crown prince.

The first magician came back to save the prince and stayed at his side with the first priestess. Vale the magician failed on this search for reviving and went back to the imperial palace to protect the successor of his bestfriend. And before Vale and Raphaela died they gave the historic secret book the first king created as the two of them wrote the secrets of the imperial family and left it to the third king but is known as the fourth king by now because they hid the fact that there was a first queen. having a second stigma bigger than the first king has could bring chaos. Raphaela knew that having a princess in the imperial family is rare but she prayed that if that time comes the imperial family is in good shape so the bloodbath will not happen again.

but not everything goes by your side. like how my status are right now.

"N-no way..." I ordered Lamira to removed the lace of my dress at my back and showed them my stigma. "No... there's, there's still two years before your... coming of age." The second prince couldn't believe what he is seeing and the third prince was dumbfounded. after five hundred and twenty years a second princess of the imperial family lineage was born. that is Renericia.

There is only six people who knew Renericia has a stigma. First me, the second and third princes, Lamira and these new appointed knights the princess palace. I put a mana spell on them to keep their mouth shut. I didn't put a cast so they won't know that I casted a spell  but once they tried to spoke that I have a stigma there will be a one day penalty. they will lose their voice for a day and it will keep happening as they keep trying to spill the secret that I have been hiding since I came here.
