2 DAYS EARLIER IN THE WANG REN PALACE

VANELLOPE'S POV;

My name is Chu Qiao and I'm the oldest and illegitimate daughter of the emperor. I usually go by the name vanellope Sanchez because my mum was of a Spanish descent and I was not registered in the family tree. I'm twenty five years old and yet I wasn't allowed to leave the palace let alone to mention that I was part of the royal house my step mother Roxanne yu would always treat me as a lowly slave and so did her two evil daughters Cassidy and Persephone. Whenever I told my dad he would shun me off and at times accuse me of lying against my step mother but I knew that deep within what I had said was the undisputed truth and cannot be fabricated. I grew up to become as beautiful and wild as my mum I secretly took martial arts lessons from my one of my secret friends Roger and Evelyn who happened to be part of the royal army. I acted cautiously and pretended to be foolish so I wouldn't be regarded as a threat in the family so my mum and sisters would always laugh and mock me relentlessly so they regarded me as a good for nothing in the family.

Only few people in the royal court knew that I was a child of wedlock but because of my beauty I was engaged to the son of the grand navy admiral's son James Williams. We were so in love and we had everything in common but little did I know that he was cheating on me with my younger sister Cassidy. When I caught them in the act James poured down insults on me for being an illegitimate child. I was lost of words my eyes welled with hot tears but they refused to run down my eyes so I hurriedly retired to my room.

What?? I had loved and trusted James so much only for him to betray me. I muttered silently as my mind flashed back to what James said.

You're such a wild, imprudent, delusional and an unlucky child who's luck can wish an entire kingdom bad luck..hmm I wonder what my dad sees in you if he thinks you're beautiful let him marry you himself. James mocked poking my chest.

Why are you saying this huh we've been engaged for six years and here you're franchising my step sister. I asked in tears as I held the hem of his suit .

I felt so down like my world was crashing down to pieces. My heart bled with agony because I was betrayed by the very guy I loved the most. To me there was nothing more heart rending than James betraying me for Cassidy but I stayed quietly in my room all throughout the day and no one came looking for me and I was sure Dad knew about this but sided with them.

Meanwhile the following day the president visited the royal house with a masked man and some other people who were dressed as mafias they were awarded by my dad for saving the country. I noticed how the girls were drooling over the masked man I wondered why people would literally go crazy over a guy who they can't see his face but despite the fact he wasn't ugly looking he's got a jet black coloured hair with a great hairstyle,his body build was so outstanding he was way taller and muscular than anyone in the room but his skin was so pale that it made me suspect him to be a vampire undercover. When my step mother saw me standing beside the palace pillar she whispered to a guard who came drag me out but I was adamant and threatened to scream if he does as much as touching me, having said that my step mother glared at me and I could tell she was grinding her teeth in hatred but she still feigned a smile when Dad looked at her. After the award meeting the guest left and then my stepmother began ranting about what I had said and done. I wasn't afraid of her nor did I respect her either because I wasn't going to mind whatever I faced in this palace she was about to hit me when emperor Adolphus Ceres of Losgaria who happened to be my father's friend interrupted her.

Do you mind? Why are you punishing such a beauty? He asked curiously glaring at her.

Oh your majesticness she's my step daughter an illegitimate child of my husband I love her so much but she so rebellious, unlucky and she's also a broom star so it's my job to each her proper manners since her mum never taught her one. Roxanne defended before pinching my cheek.

Don't you dare lay a finger on her Roxanne. He commands in a loud voice.

Adolphus you're to know your place in this palace. You can't just barge into my disciplinarian conversation with my step daughter. Roxanne replied bowing her face down.

Oh really.. I'm stunned who's got the bad attitude she or your daughters if you happen to be a good disciplinarian start It with your daughters first. He spat at Roxanne before grabbing me by the wrist while we walked away. I could tell that Roxanne was boiling by now because she stamped her feet on the floor fiercely. My dad apologized to emperor Adolphus on Roxanne's behalf and I was free for a while since the vampire emperor didn't tolerate bullying before his eyes.

When Adolphus left Roxanne and dad began to quarrel so intensely that he banged the doo after speaking to her. I sat down in my room silently thinking on what to do next,while I was lost I thought Rogers and Eva sneaked into my room from the window and we snuck out without anyone's knowledge and headed for the underground club.

AT THE CLUB (12:30AM}

We walked in slowly trying not to bump into anyone because the club was heavily crowded. While we walked towards the drink counter I noticed the presence of the mafia I had seen at home earlier but I just wasn't sure if it was him so I minded my business and kept drinking the tequila cocktail which the bartender served us. I had consumed two tequila cocktail and lastly a bottle of brandy,I walked towards dance floor and my sight were fuzzy. I couldn't find rogers and Eva so I decided to dance with the influence of Dutch bravery. It lasts like forever and the next thing I knew was talking to a masked man who seemed rather disrespectful and arrogant to make matters worst he didn't lie to be corrected and our encounter was so strange because he was the first guy who I've seen trying to strangle a beautiful lady instead of having carnal knowledge of them. I felt nauseous and sick that I barfed on his shoes. Mr Arro was quite angry with me because I spoiled his favourite shoes. My head ached painfully while I rested on mr Arro's shoulder sound asleep. THE NEXT DAY (6:39AM);

I woke up tired and stressed with my head aching like I've been hit in the head by a sledge hammer. I turned to face the window thinking it was my room but to my horror the masked man was sound asleep next to me I was extremely shocked upon realizing that the country's most wealthy and most celebrated eligible bachelor was lying next to me asleep. I giggled silently but I was stunned to see that I wasn't at home and I was lying in a mega VIP room the price got me screaming as I looked at the receipt a night in this room was twenty thousand pounds like I wondered what such an asshole was thinking. I took my heels and purse in my bag heading for the door when another tall guy walked in. He was well built, muscular he was slightly pale and had a cut chiseled face grey eyes and Greek nose he was darn attractive as the masked man lying on the bed. I didn't know who he was because I didn't have a functional phone nor the access to the internet it felt like I was living in the north Korean governments rulership. He smiled at me and continues to stare at me as if he was studying my personality when he was done staring at me he asked curiously

Who are you and what are you doing in my brother's room?

I'm uh no one I woke up here and he was next to me. I replied confused with what to say next the Shane was eating me up and I begged the ground to open up and swallow me.

You're very lucky that my brother's a guy with self control because if it was another guy he'd definitely would have had his way with you. He praised before sticking his hands into his breast pocket.

I'm sorry I was wasted last night so I crashed in his room uninvited I'm most definitely sorry. I apologize taking my eyes away from his face due to shame.

Here take this it's a cheque of one million pounds the chauffeur will take you home alright,here take this is the coffee I was supposed to drink but you look like you could use it. He said handing over to me the cheque and the coffee.

No my brother would want you to have this because he hates free stuff and you should please keep it a secret. He replied before sitting on the cushion by the window.

I frowned but he continued to laugh.

Try me and you'll know! Please when Mr Arro wakes up tell him that I'm sorry for his shoes and that I'm not a thing that he thinks he can purchase. I remarked sarcastically with confidence in my voice.

Hmmm but still my chauffeur will take you home instead. He persuaded as he hands over a golden card to me.

We came outside the room and he discussed with the chauffeur and the room service who served me a sumptuous meal before I got home.

AT HOME (8:00AM);

I came down from the car and opened the gate so I could enter the palace but little did I know that Roxanne and my dad were standing at the door. When I greeted them I was graced with a thunderous slap. I was interrogated by Roxanne and dad but I refused to mention that Roger and Evelyn were the brain behind all this s**t I'm into. After being punished by my father I left for my room but I was met with yet another shocker when James rushed in angrily and gave me a slap.

Why you witch?! What did you tell my father huh? He screams loudly.

What was this for James? I never called your father maybe someone else did I defended holding my aching cheek.

Don't you dare lie you two faced slut you called my father and told him about the dispute we had here and now he's sworn my younger brother as his next heir to the grand admiral of the entire empire navy fleets. He laments gruesomely.

Don't be perplexed my darling I'm going to fix it no need to speak to this woman slept outside yesterday. Cassidy said sarcastically walking towards James who leaned in to give her a kiss the same kiss he quarrelled and refuse to give to me not even a peck he's always been unromantic with the relationship.

Where did you sleep at last night? James asked angrily as he pulls my hair.

That's not your business James,I thought you've been to busy with my sister that you barely have the time to check on me besides we broke up so let me go. I said pulling my hair from his grip but I was met with another painful hit on the face.

Babe don't waste your time on her you don't need to know where she spent the night you do know she's unfaithful to you so why do you even bother asking a slut where she's been. Cassidy persuaded pouting her lips while pulling on James hand.

You're so defiant Chu Qiao I warn you..you should kneel down and plead for cassidy's forgiveness else I won't forgive you. James threatened in an angry voice.

James are you mad or do you need a brain for easy remembrance? I'm not Chu Qiao it's vanellope Sanchez and can't Cassidy fight for herself also who in the whole wide world needs your selfish forgiveness huh? I'd rather beg than ask for forgiveness from two morons like you. I mocked glaring at James whe felt shock.

Vanellope you should keep your mouth clean a slut shouldn't speak to us the royals. Cassidy replied proudly.

Look at who's talking? A fly calling itself a peacock huh since you want to know where I went I'll tell you. I replied defiantly.

Vanellope you've got the nerve to admit it ok let's hear it. James snickered with a disgusted face.

Wow and you're now first class right? I got F***ked yesterday by a rich and handsome guy he was cute and so breathe taking unlike some jackass who can't even manage to remain faithful to one woman. I mocked sarcastically.

You're such a disgusting b***h and I'll tear you to pieces. James cursed grinding his teeth.

Ahhh!! What the hell darn you vanellope! James exclaimed in pain while holding his faithful tightly with his left hand and using the right to adjust his stance.

You ... Cassidy stammered in shock.

Me what? Let me announce something important to y'all both. I'm not afraid of death,torture or punishment I might tolerate your parents to insult and humiliate me but you guys your insults that I can't and won't stand. I said angrily before pushing them out of the way. James and Cassidy stood scared and mesmerized by the incidents that unfolded before their very eyes for the first time in life their mouth were open but they couldn't speak and I felt satisfied with what I had done to James.

THE NEXT DAY (8:00AM);

I walked into the dinning room and everyone were having an Italian cuisine for breakfast but at the far end of the dinning table I saw a plate filled with rotten fish and soured cabbage soup. Roxanne,her daughters and James who apparently had a nose bandage on the bridge of his nose chuckled silently with while my father made a straight face and had adamantly refused to answer any of my greetings but I paid no attention to his attitude since he was always like that. I sat down on the vacant seat at the breakfast dinning table and behold the stench from the rotten meal was life threatening and mind blowing.

While they are I just smiled to myself trying to suppress my anger but Roxanne cleared her throat to get my attention.

Oh vanellope dear child why aren't you eating or are you fasting? She chuckled.

At that moment I knew Roxanne wasn't just foolish or cunning but I just read of all the etiquette lessons she's ha in the past she was a complete i***t.

Oh no I'm not I'm just mesmerized by the food that some complete i***t decided to serve me for breakfast. I smiled pretending like I was completely clueless.

How dare you ungrateful imp? She cursed slamming her spoon to the desk.

What's my crime or are you angry to hear me say a complete i***t had prepared the rotten meal in my plate? I asked meticulously.

Roxanne forced me to eat the food I refused but she tried forcefully and she went haywire just then decided to sort it out by insulting my mum but the end result wasn't what she was expecting. I poured the rotten food on her and left. My dad couldn't speak at all he just stood up staring at Roxanne bewildered and when Jams tried to hit me me,my dad held his hand and gave him a befitting slap and for the first time in life he cautioned them not to mention the name of the dead but to leave them he peace. I was flabbergasted because dad had never defended me not once but he always punished me or scolded me rudely every time but deep within me I could guess this insult must have gotten to him.

We got into my room and dad beckons by the door crying as loud as he could I was puzzled by this revelation.
