I threatened wondering in my mind why I was defending someone I barely knew. " Now the rest of you get to work and don't dilly dally.

She frowned trying to return the slap but was hastily stopped by Alice,who held her hand.

"Who in the world made you his wife huh?! She asked rubbing her aching wrist.'

I smiled bringing out the royal seal emblem my father in law had given me on the wedding day. "You don't believe me then believe this I'm certainly sure you're not accusing his royal Highness of fraudulent activity.

They all gasped on seeing the golden jade seal and fearfully they all knelt down bowing their heads as we both walked away.

Meanwhile everything the maids had said earlier kept whirling in my mind as I pondered over them severely not realizing I was cutting myself instead of the apple we were having.

Alice rushed over to bandage my wound."your highness what's the problem that you're hurting yourself over? She asked curiously sanitizing the wound.' "is it what the maid had said those are just rumors.

I scowled heaving a sigh of frustration. "Y'all are hiding something from me and you know it! I whined rolling my eyes at her.' "was it a rumor?! And if it surely was then Roxanne who didn't care about rumors would have had her son marry the most powerful man in the entire realm and beyond but there's something to this than meets the eye.

I watched Alice panic and her face darken with fear but she looked around to see if there was anyone around and when she was certain there was none around she began to narrate the story of my grooms past life.

She talked about how he was once the most powerful and had a wife who supported him in spite all the flaws and prophecies told about him but she was executed for treason and he was exiled from the losgaria realm tit the human realm for 17 human years. I felt touched and scared at the same because I was married to a threat to his empire and he was under the crimson curse which according to legends change him into a monster and he kills all his brides. I felt dismayed because my father knew about this and he never told me and the full crimson moon was just three days away. Alice tried comforting me but it was futile so I decided to live my life till it's end if I'm unlucky but if luck was on my side I'll probably live to escape the monster I'm living with.

LATER IN THE NIGHT.

Alice and I were just heading into the castle when suddenly my brother in law, Humphrey,walked in front of us. I wondered what he was doing at our humble abode at this hour of the night but politely I bowed to pay respect to him as my custom permits.

I smiled lifting my head in a confused demeanor. "Good evening your majesty how are you? I smiled feeling weighed down by his presence.' "To what do I owe this visit or are you here to see my husband? He's probably in his study.

"No I'm not here for that pathetic jerk I'm here for you my love. He replied kissing the back of my palm. "You look dazzling has anyone ever told you that?

I felt embarrassed because my brother in law was actually trying to be flirtatious with me but like a child's play I shrugged it off. "Well your highness you flatter me with such lavishing words I must say I'm embarrassed. I admitted hoping to annoy him. "You must be tired already but I'll have someone arrange a room for you.

He smirked gazing at the nape of my neck and then at my face. "No love I'll stay in your room if you don't mind or I'll just hang around with you for a little while.

At that instant I knew Humphrey was not only an i***t but also a pervert who couldn't take his eyes off me since my arrival.

"How inappropriate! I scold feeling ashamed. "I'm a married woman and my husband is at home so I'll order Mr Chamberlain to arrange a room for you. I informed trying to walk past him.

He smiled breathing on my ear. "No need your highness I'm here to have a little chat with you.

"Your majesty it's late we'll see each other tomorrow but for now my husband needs me. I lied pretending to be sleepy.

"I do know that's quite an audacious like because as long as I know my brother he barely shares his own bed. He mocks as his gin his guard whispered in his ear. "Anyway I'll see you tomorrow morning bright and early.

Before my very eyes he teleported through a portal to what seemed to be his bedroom. Alice and I were stunned and the incident had us on our heels.

IN MY BEDROOM (MIDNIGHT).

I had finished taking my bathe then I decided to apply my body lotion when suddenly my lights flickered continuously before going off. I tried to reach my bedstand lantern but I was dragged by a cold hand which had me screaming in fear. It seemed like no one was coming to my rescue so I kicked my legs high in the air and suddenly I was thrown like a rag doll on my bed and my clothes were torn apart revealing my nude. I was being violated but the figure wasn't visible and it felt terrible like I was drowning in Ocean waves.

However, a manly figure teleported into my room and killed the invisible figure out of my bed and he crashed into my mirror revealing a masked man who hurriedly jumped through the window because his teleportation spell wasn't working. I quickly covered my body and began sobbing because my husband was nowhere to be seen and he didn't care if I was dead at all.

The man in the room was looking gigantic his long white hair flowed with the breeze in the room. His body was well tanned,his height was probably 6.58ft, his firm lined lips had me thinking of Mr arrogant and I tried reorganizing my mind because I was now a married woman. He stayed by me all through the night and he didn't say a word nor did he leave a name.

RUDOLPH'S POV;

I had married my worse enemy to say the least but neither did she know that I was Mr arrogant but I never bothered nor did I want her to even find out. I wanted to make her live her life in pain but that was impossible because Frank's life depends on my compliance but I wasn't going to make things easier for vanellope. I behave arrogantly to her at any given moment I got even I went as far as to stop visiting her and even refusing to see her or take her to the royal court for meetings but she was quite content and defended me in every given way. This only made me suspect her motives the more.

One day while I was in my study reading a book about the crimson curse my eyes wandered off the book to the window just a few metres away from my seat at that moment I decided to take a break to stare at the window when suddenly my eyes caught a glimpse of vanellope talking to some maids in the royal garden. I couldn't hear their conversation so I used my superhumane hearing to eavesdrop on their conversation. It actually dawned on me that she was defending me and even threatened to have the head of the maids on a platter if they dared to speak ill of me ever again. I could only smile at how formidable and funny she was but little did I know that Mr Chamberlain had seen everything he stared at me in surprise slipping a file on the desk.

"Here your highness is the list of the men in your army and some other ones that were added by the royal Highnesses, Humphrey and Hubert. He cleared his throat retrieving his hand.' "your highness your smile seems rather immaculate today or is it her highness that's the reason?

I gazed at him with a cold and warning stare my emotions darkened with anger from his word but I waved it off maintaining my composure. "Oh Mr Chamberlain it seems you've got enough free time to blurt nonsense with your mouth? I asked closing the book before walking to close up the distance between us.

"No your highness I've got to recruit more maidens so I'm not free. He stuttered bowing his head down.' "if his royal Highness permits me I'll be on my way.

"Hakeem escort Mr Chamberlain outside and make sure he gets to work so he doesn't dilly dally. I ordered standing in front of the big portrait having my wife's picture on it.

"Yes your highness. He replied escorting Mr Chamberlain to the door. "This way Mr Chamberlain let's go and recruit some maids.

As soon as the door closed I fell on my knees before my wife's portrait sobbing my entire heart out the black blood trailed down my eyes and the dark side of the curse tried to kick in but I struggled with it until it was subdued.

LATER IN THE EVENING (JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT)

Hakeem and I were discussing some army strategy that I've learnt from the human world and how I hope to make him the general of the army. He seemed quiet happy and pledged his allegiance to helping me rose to the top but I sensed someone was approaching our surroundings so I pulled the map off the the table and just as I suspected it was none other than Humphrey who teleported into my office unannounced and he brought his most trusted guard, Maxwell,with him. His eyes scanned the entire house until his gaze fell on the antique I bought and he made his way towards the shelf but Hakeem stood in his way.

"Your highness with all due respect you're not allowed to touch my master's personal belongings. He said holding the head of his sword.' "please step aside from the antique!

"Who gave you the right to speak to his royal Highness like that you worthless imbecile. Maxwell cursed raising his sword against him.

Humphrey signaled Maxwell to stand down and without any warning he sent Hakeem crashing down on the antiques with just the flick of his finger.

"Ah that's more like it this way I can't take it because it's already laid to waste. He smiled walking towards me. "Hey little brother I came to borrow something from you. He smiled mockingly.

I frowned sitting on the seat unfazed by his appearance. "Well!!! Humphrey it seems like you've never changed always the greedy and immature child you are. I spat standing up to fix his collar.' "though you're an elder you will always be a baby who can't even tie his collar or work for himself without looking at others farmland.

He seemed rather pissed and knocked my hands away from his collar.

"Maxwell the maid who was in charge of dressing me today have them all executed. He commands glaring at me.' "I'm just being polite Xavier that's why I came to ask you for permission to carry out my plan. Besides you have a wife who dresses you up every morning and I have a harem full of idiots so that's why I've come here today.

"What an infidel?! I roared in hatred as my eyes glints red. "As despicable as always Humphrey but let me tell you that it wasn't like last time because if I find you anywhere in my house or around any of my subjects I'll have your head and that of your supporters on a platter.

"Some little birdie told me that you've been maltreating vanellope ever since she got here and I know you hate her already so I'm helping you relief stress rather than keep such beauty who you'll kill in three days. He teased poking my chest.I smiled pretending to be amused by his comment. "Oh you heard from a little bird? I scoffed rolling the dice in my hand.' "I hope the little birdie told you that my wife and I had a master bathe this morning.

His gaze and composure seemed shaken and I could see his protective layers breaking but he smiled walking up to close the distance between us.

"Wow maybe he did miss a tiny detail but I'll have vanellope once I become king. He threatens pretending to yawn.' just you wait and see Rudolph I'll gouge out your eyes and break your bones.

"Nice job! I exclaimed applauding him.' "Don't be too haughty Humphrey I'll no longer be discreet about anything I'm here to take your life and I'll do it on my own ground just you wait. Now if you have nothing to say get the hell out of my office I've got no time to entertain losers.

He rushed towards me with a great speed no one could have anticipated wielding my old nirvana sword of the mine shinzu but as soon as he was land a hit, Hakeem held a sword to his throat.

"I'd suggest your highness that you put your weapon down and leave this premises. He said tightening his grip.' "My master has no time to entertain guests so I suggest you leave or I'll decapitate Maxwell's head to appease him.

Humphrey was stunned to see Hakeem harmless and still able to stand after such hit and the antiques weren't even damaged as he had expected instead they were just right behind Rudolph who seemed to be holding a gun.

"Who are you? No one could ever survive the hand of horror's attack. He stammered putting his weapon down.' "unless you are the ilaquiri of the south s ranked wolf.'

"No I'm just a guard. He replied pushing Humphrey away.

Maxwell ran towards Humphrey to catch him but they end up colliding heads with each other leading to a crash.

I watched Humphrey spat and rain curses on his body guard to calm his frustration.

"Remember to send my regards to Hubert. I mocked placing my gun in it's safe case. "Tell him that I'll be back to take what's rightfully mine.

I watched Humphrey as he walked out of the door because of the cat eye onyx which was on the desk. It couldn't allow non members of the lotus pavilion Kingdom to use magic anywhere near the palace. Hakeem and I continued our conversation and he told be he was an s ranked wolf hybrid from the windbreaker tribe and Humphrey had just guessed it wrong due to his lack of understanding about culture,nature and mythical knowledge. I couldn't doubt him because Humphrey and Hubert had been nothing but jerks who's laughable nature was nothing much of a surprise since they paid little to no attention in class. The crimson curse was the only thing that could defeat all magical beings even this magic immune creatures that's why it was more of a threat to the entire realms than any silver weapons.

After the discussion I left the office to train with Hakeem who I've seemed to be fond of. Revenge was the only thing that kept me going and I was ready to do anything to have it.

ON TOP THE CROW TOWER CEILING.

The silver moon glistened brightly even though it was just a crescent. The thought of killing vanellope in three days time engulfed my every thought and I could only hope for the best while sipping the blood in my goblet. The sweet taste of blood lingered on my tongue and I could only wonder what human was so peculiar enough to have such a sweet blood. Just as soon as I was about teleporting from the tower a voice in distress kept calling to me. I thought there had been someone with me but I turned to see no one at all I wanted to summon Hakeem through telepathy but that was impossible because it was made by blood covenant and if so it wouldn't be able to reach him.

However, I chose to ignore the distress signal as though it would be a trap but vivid and blurry images of vanellope kept appearing in my head and only then did I realize that it was telepathic and she was in trouble. I teleported into her room and the feeling of anger overwhelmed me causing me to change into my half vampire form. For some unknown reason I was reacting in a way that was very unusual to me but mustering up myself I kicked the figure who revealed himself as a man undercover. On trying to knock him out he escaped jumping through the window leaving vanellope in shock wailing and babbling over what had happened. She thanked me politely not knowing I was Rudolph but I found it quiet relaxing but wondered how a human could use telepathy.

After a few hours of consoling and protecting her I also feel asleep from exhaustion and dozed off too.

EARLY IN THE MORNING.

I woke up to the realisation that I was lying on vanellope's bed and she was such a bad companion to lie with and should be ranked number 1since her drools were all over my chest. Picking up my phone I realized it was just 6:00am and the sun was just rising and the bed were humming harmoniously like chorals to an unknown tone. I tried teleporting out of the bed but her grip was too tight and it got us teleported to my own room but damn vanellope was as dead as a log because she was fast asleep. Her hairs cascaded her smooth skin and her pink,moist lips looked plump like they were begging to be kissed and for the first time I was mesmerized by her beauty. I felt my heart beats become fast and rapid also my face became hot just like Frank had described it when he fell In love with Blake his first love. I waved the thought off like nothing had happened and returned to sleep since her grip couldn't let me escape to work.

SOME HOURS LATER;

Vanellope wakes up yawning and stretching like an earthworm. She was quiet unaware of my presence as she let's out a resounding and long fart.

My expression become sour as I folded the newspaper in my hand angrily before hitting on the table to get her attention.

"Can't you be more modest or lady like Miss vanellope? I grunt walking to the window.' "or maybe I should hire an etiquette teacher for you perhaps to get some sense of reasoning into your thick skull.

She moaned covering her face in shame as she scurried off to a corner to hide.

"I'm so sorry but what am I doing here? She asked hugging her knees.' "Did you take advantage of me last night? Where is the old man that saved me from the rapist?

"I don't know vanellope he left and perhaps I think you should put on more clothes to cover up your body or some mask to cover your beauty. I advised walking towards her direction.' "you'll need some more guards or else your father in law will have my head.

She stood up pouting her lips as her eyes were already brimming with tears that rolled down her cheeks. "I hope you monster you didn't kill that man nor did you take advantage of my innocence? She cried hitting my chest. "Tell me did you?

"No I didn't do anything but some intruder sneaked into your bedroom and my chief guard had to Intervene. I lied pretending so as not to reveal my true identity.

She agreed nodding sheeply scurrying away to her room. Vanellope hadn't found out that I was Mr arrogant because I had used up a silicon mask to change my identity as a disfigured man which only I and my father knew, my brothers had thought that I was disfigured by my enraged father during the time of exile as he dad said to them earlier and this was what gave me an upper hand in hiding my identity.
