After hearing Femi’s story I felt relieved sharing my story with him as his story terms to weigh over my worries.
We bided each other good night and headed our separate ways. Though we both lived in the same estate but I lived further down the road. Advising each other to be careful as we left.
I got home and went straight to the bathroom and showered myself which was what I had really desired after the marathon of drinks and the walk back home.
I had my dinner and laid on my bed and began to replay the activities of that day and the advice from Femi which I chose to abide with.
I deleted all of her pictures from my phone gallery and everything about her from my phone and self and that night I deleted her from my life.
I had to move on I told to myself.
I moved about my usual activities putting the past events behind and the next day when Mama Emma saw me she was all joyed as she said I have assumed my real self again.
I tried to bury my pain and hurt with work as I worked extra hard everyday always engaging in something to help keep my mind active from thoughts.
As the period went by Femi remained kin with his encouragement as he pointed constantly pointed my attention towards Adaeze and as weeks turned to month the both of us started seeing ourselves.
At first Mama Emma had pretended not to be aware of our little romance at dark corners and even when she unexpectedly walk up on us at the backyard holding hands.
We had tried all our best to keep our relationship a secret, even when it was obvious to everyone and an open secret to Mama Emma.
We eventually became inseparable and our love grow stronger. Three months into our relationship we announce our intention to our parents and we fixed a date for our marriage.
Mama Emma was overjoyed, as she called me my son, her face beamed with smiles and her waist was all dance as she stepped into the living room of there village houses to greet my people whom had traveled down for the traditional marriage with me.
The traditional marriage end as planned and we returned home as husband and wife. Our white wedding had be fix and we went straight into planning.
I had appointed Femi as my best man, this responsibility he tried all he could to discharge from, but I held strong.
On that very day, we walk majestically through the axle of All saint Church, as the choir and band members blasted there music and everywhere was electrified.
The church was filled with friends and well-wisher, family members and coworkers.
The priest had wasted no time in pronouncing us blessed and as man and wife before him and I was asked to kiss the bird. At that moment the whole church was filled with shouts of joy. I could still hear Mama Emma’s voice as she thundered multiple runs of hallauyah .
At the reception venues, I noticed Femi was seriously in a conversation with Amaka whom was Adaeze’s childhood friend and had acted as her maid of honor.
I exchanged glared with him and we tried shying away. But I and Adaeze had earlier matched them together.
At the end Femi and Amake continued there little romance and hopefully there wedding date is around the corner
As for me an my beautiful damsel Adaeze we lived happily ever after.
The end.
