Noel shrieked again as she pushed.
She felt all the pain of each tiny movement. Every tear of skin and muscle as her body tried to expel her daughter from her.
She had never been more grateful to have been mated to a medically minded male than she was in that moment. Sebastian seemed to know exactly what to do and although it was a nightmare they were living in, he was calm.
That was always what Sebastian was. The calm to her crazy, the gentle to her harsh. Even in the worst situation either of them had ever faced- he was there to tether her emotions as the rock in her life that held her feet to the earth.
Noel let out another pain filled yell but the roar of the rain seemed to swallow it whole.
