Morning came all too fast and Charlie awoke to a soft knock on the door. She jolted up in bed as the door cracked open to reveal Anna balancing a tray of food as she opened the door. Corey was behind her with Jax in his arms.
“Wake up Auntie!! It’s breakfast in bed time! How cool is this castle!?” Jax squealed in delight as Corey walked him into the room and Anna set the tray down on a table near the door.
Corey set Jax down and gave Charlie a small nod and a sorry look.
“I will be in the Beta study down a floor, yell if you need us.” and at that, he left the room.
Jax crawled his way up to Charlie and curled up beside her. She wrapped her arms around him and snuggled him close.
“I have missed you, silly boy. So much, do you know that?” Charlie said to him.
