Charlie woke up to a gentle knock on the door. She had wrapped herself around a pillow that smelled of Jamie and slept soundly through the night, not once waking not even as the sun came up. “Yes?” Charlie called out, her voice horse and thick with sleep. “It’s me Charlie- I have breakfast, come open the door!”  Charlie smiled at the sound of Anna’s voice. Her friend finally sounded a little more like her usual, joyful self. Anna truly seemed happy here in Elmswitch.  Charlie pulled herself from her bed and slipped on a t-shirt she found in one of the drawers in the room. No doubt one of Jamie’s.
