“This is going to look great on you,” I said, gently placing a bear hat on Zephyr’s head. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. We were in the park for our first date as a couple. At first, Zephyr wanted to rent the park just for us, but I preferred the lively interaction with others. When we reached the park, it was bustling with kids, their parents, and other couples.
“What the hell is this weird cap?” Zephyr complained, which made me laugh even harder. He looked at me with a grin and tried to remove the hat, but I stopped him.
“This is a perfect disguise so that no one will recognize us,” I said, picking up a cat hat and putting it on, feeling a bit silly but also carefree. “Here,” I handed him a red shade while I picked a yellow one. “Now we look different.”
