Dr. Mary's eyes sparkled with a knowing glint as she removed her glasses and handed over the test result. "it seems the universe has something in store for you. You are pregnant!"

I never expected to hear this news in my lifetime. Lately, I've been throwing up and thought I might be sick, but I never imagined it was because I was pregnant.

"Really!" I shouted excitedly and clapped my hands. "Am I pregnant?" I asked the doctor, placing my hands on my stomach and rubbing it gently. Tears filled my eyes as I thought about how much I had always wanted a child.

Since I was mated to Alpha Dane, I have been lonely. Alpha Dane, my mate, didn't want me to refer to him by name and insisted I call him Alpha even though I was his mate. We met on the night of the mating ceremony three years ago when he announced to everyone that I was his mate, and from there, I became the Luna. But it wasn't what I expected. Although I was the Luna of the Moon pack, I was never acknowledged as such. Instead, my mother-in-law held onto the title, telling me that an omega like myself could never become Luna.

Now that I've heard that a child is on the way, I'm excited. My mother-in-law might finally acknowledge me as I've longed for years, and perhaps Alpha Dane will treat me right.

"How far along am I?" I asked her.

The pack doctor smiled at me before responding, "I believe you are four weeks along."

I chuckled and rubbed my stomach. "I can't believe this," I muttered as I continued to rub my stomach, overjoyed by the unexpected news. ''I’m really glad,'' I told her.

"Yes, I will give you the dates for your next checkup. Please try to get enough rest, as your body is in a delicate state," she advised, and I nodded in agreement.

As I left the pack hospital that afternoon, I couldn't help but grin as I gazed at the letter. I was going to have a child. I couldn't believe this was real. I, an omega, was going to have an Alpha's child. It felt surreal, and I couldn't wait to welcome my child.

When I reached the front of the house, I took a deep breath, rubbed my sweaty hands together, and headed inside, ready to announce the news to my family.

"Alpha Dane, Luna Muna," I called out for my mate and his mother, hoping to share the news with them first. But they were nowhere to be seen. They were not the type to not be in the house. "Where could they be?" I wondered as I walked toward the forbidden stairs. Alpha Dane had made it clear I was not allowed to climb the stairs, but my curiosity got the better of me, and I was excited to share the pregnancy news.

I took a deep breath and started climbing the stairs. I was halfway up the stairs when I heard loud moaning voices.

"Yes, Dane, f**k me like you mean it!" The voice was loud, and I paused to listen, trying to remember where I'd heard it before.

"I'm going to make you my Luna!" I heard Alpha Dane yell.

He's never been like that with me. It felt like he was having the time of his life with her, while with me, it was always a struggle. He tied my hands behind my back to sleep with me, but now he was acting sweet with the woman he was with.

My heart shattered as I continued climbing the stairs, not fearing what might happen next. Tears filled my eyes as I reached the front of the door and opened it. The room was dark, but I could see their silhouettes and how their bodies moved.

I couldn't move. I wanted to scream at that moment; I felt betrayed, used, and broken.

I had been a faithful wife to Alpha Dane for years, but he had been cheating on me behind my back.

He was taking another Luna, and I was too blind to see it. I should have seen the signs and understood, but I was too naive to realize that he was referring to a new Luna when he spoke a few days ago.

Soon, you will stop living with me and join the other pack members in the house.

Those were his words to me a few days ago, and I didn't understand then that this was what he meant.

"What about your stupid mate? When are you getting rid of her?" the female in the room asked him.

"Soon, I will be getting rid of her, Alexa. Preparations are already in place. You will be my Luna. There's no way an omega like her could ever be my Luna."

My hand shook on the doorknob as I gasped and stepped back. Alexa. He was with her.

''Who's there?’' Alpha Dane shouted.

I rushed down the stairs, tears streaming down my face. How could I not have known that Alexa had always been his choice? She was the Luna Queen's niece and used to be my friend until I mated with Alpha Dane. I was too naive to see the signs—her recent visits to our home, her familiarity with my mother-in-law and Alpha Dane. These should have been enough proof, but I was too blind to see it and didn't realize she was having an affair with him.

Why? If Alpha Dane never wanted me, he could have rejected me years ago instead of making me suffer for so long. I cried through the nights when he forced himself on me and during the days when he and his mother hit me for making mistakes.

I wanted to scream as I walked down the stairs, but instead, I held it in as I always did, letting my tears speak for me.

When I reached the last step, I collided with someone. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize it was the Luna. "What the hell is wrong with you!" she yelled at me, striking my face and pushing me to the ground. "Have you gone insane?"

"Luna," I stammered, falling to my knees in front of her while holding onto the paper in my hand. "I'm sorry for—" I tried to explain, but she grabbed the paper.

‘'What—''she gasped. ‘'You’re pregnant?’' she asked.

"I—" I stuttered again, my heart pounding in my chest. Though I hadn't done anything wrong, I feared what she'd say since I'd broken their rule about going to the forbidden stairs.

"I'm talking to you, stupid w***e!" she yelled, grabbing me by the hair and pulling me up from the ground. "Who the hell are you pregnant for?"

"I—" I stuttered, unable to speak.

"What the hell is going on here?" Alpha Dane's voice boomed from the stairs as he walked down hand in hand with Alexa. He held her hand shamelessly, not caring if I was there. When my eyes met with Alexa, she smirked at me. "Mother, what's happening?"

Luna Muna released me and held the paper up. "This w***e is pregnant!" she announced.

Alpha Dane hurried down the stairs, walked up to us, and snatched the paper from his mother's hand. He read it, then slammed the paper against my face. "Who the hell are you pregnant for?" he asked.

''Y—you,’' I replied.

He slapped me across the face. "Wrong! Now tell me the truth, you damned w***e!" he shouted, grabbing me by the throat. "I want you to be honest if you want me to spare your life!"

Honest? What else did he expect me to say when I was genuinely pregnant For him? Unlike him, who had been sleeping with Alexa for a long time, I had been faithful to him.

"Alpha Dane, it's you," I told him again, but he delivered another deafening slap that blinded me for a few seconds, and I struggled to see.

"Lies!" He grabbed my throat and chuckled, tightening his grip. "I know you're lying to me. Tell the truth now! Who is the bastard who got you pregnant?"

"I told you she's been sleeping around, but you refused to believe me!" Alexa scoffed. "She's a w***e!"

"No, no," I struggled to shout even as Alpha Dane's arms gripped my neck.

Alpha Dane released my neck, and I gasped for breath, and he pushed me to the ground. "I didn't do it,' I tried to explain. "I've always been faithful to you, and you—"

"Shut up!" He kicked me in the stomach. "Stop lying, you damned w***e!" he yelled.

I groaned and held my stomach. Pain ached below my abdomen as I clutched it to protect my baby.

"Tell us who the i***t is who got you pregnant now, you w***e!" Luna Muna yelled. "How can you disgrace the alpha family like this!" Disgrace the family? I didn't do anything wrong.

"I warned you, Dane, before marrying this w***e that you were making a big mistake, but you refused to see the bigger picture when I told you not to go after her!" she yelled.

Alpha Dane let out a low growl, grabbed my hand, and dragged me out of the house toward the pack house.

"Where are you—"

He silenced me with a growl. "Speak again, and you'll lose your tongue!" he shouted. "Keep quiet!"

"I didn't cheat on you," I said, wanting to tell him that he was the one who broke the mating bond by sleeping with my friend. I couldn't understand why they were all making this about me. I hadn't done anything wrong, yet they saw me as the evil one, and I could do nothing about it. Alpha Dane continued to drag me toward the pack house. Even when I fell to the ground, he didn't stop and kept pulling me across the ground.

I held onto my stomach. The pain was so severe that I feared the worst might happen. I silently prayed to the moon goddess to protect my baby. It was all I wanted, and I didn't want anything to happen to my child. As we passed different houses, people came out and made remarks, pointing fingers at me.

"What's happening with her?"

"I heard she cheated on the Alpha," another person said, and I expected that word had traveled quickly. Our pack was one of the smallest, and news spread quickly through mind-linking, so it didn't surprise me to hear them talking about it.

The dragging continued for a few more minutes until we reached the front of a dilapidated building separate from the homes of other werewolves. It was my home—the place where my parents had me and where my mother lived since I lost my father as a child. Both my parents were omegas, and because of that, we were always treated differently. It was why Luna never accepted me; I was an ordinary omega.

"What are we doing here?" I asked him. "Why did you bring me here?" There had to be a reason why he had brought me to my mother's house.

Alpha Dane chuckled as he knocked on the almost crumbling door. "I brought you here for your mother to see her w***e of a daughter."

The door creaked open, revealing my mother's worried face. I caught her shocked expression as she saw me being dragged by Alpha Dane, covered in blood and bruises. I felt a mixture of shame and anger but mostly horror.

Oh no, I never expected he would bring my mother into this.
