Chapter 9

The next morning YN and Geoffrey went to school. They were sitting at their group tables while Miss. Zavala gave her a lesson. Geoffrey kept wanting to ask YN about what had happened yesterday.

Every time he tried asking you, Miss. Zavala would tell him to be quiet. When it was time for recess he would ask you.

Geoffrey-Hey YN can I talk to you?

YN-Uh sure but won't Kathy get jealous cause your talking to me?

Geoffrey-No she knows that you and Eli are my best friends. 

YN my brother told me that you and Eli came over to my house yesterday. 

How come you didn't come to my room and why were you sad when you left. 

My brother also told me that it looked like you were about to cry. The reason I'm asking you all this. Is because I really care for you as a friend. I don't like seeing you sad YN please tell me what's wrong. (he told you as he lifted up your chin and holding one of your hands)

YN- Uh yeah went over to your house yesterday to pick up something for my brother Alex.

I didn't go to your room because when I opened the door you looked busy. 

I didn't want to interrupt you. (you told him putting your head down looking sad) When your brother saw me and it looked like I was about to cry. Was because I had accidentally tripped. When I was going upstairs to your room.

I appreciate that you worrying about me because I also care for you too like a friend. (you didn't really care for him as a friend but as someone you loved) 

Don't worry about me I'm fine.

When you told him that Geoffrey lifted up your chin. While he was holding your hand.

YN was looking into Geoffrey's eyes and so was he. Geoffrey smiled at you while he was caressing your cheek then suddenly the bell rang.

Geoffrey-Come on shortie lets go to class ( putting his arm over your shoulder)

YN-ok and why are you calling me shortie

Geoffrey-It's a nickname that I came up for you ( he told you with a smile)

YN-Really well then let's go to class before the bell rings.

Miss. Zavala continued to give the lesson when she finished. She passed out permission slips to the class.

Miss.Zavala- Students please listen I'm passing out permission slips for a field trip we will be going on at the end of the year.

Eli-Where will we be going Miss. Zavala?

Miss.Zavala-We will be going to the beach Eli and Mrs. Romero's class will also be going with us.

Geoffrey, Eli, YN were waiting to get picked up since school was over. Eli and YN were sitting on a bench with Geoffrey while they were waiting to get picked up. They were also talking about the field trip ( you were sitting in the middle of Eli was on your left and Geoffrey to your right.) That's when Kathy showed up. (Kathy is Geoffrey new girlfriend)

Kathy: Hi Geoffrey (giving him a kiss on the cheek)

Geoffrey: Hi Kathy (giving her kiss back on back on the cheek)

Kathy: Hey Girls (giving them s dirty look when Geoffrey wasn't looking)

YN & Eli: Hi Kathy

Eli: Hey YN do you want to wait with me in front of the school to see if our ride is here?

YN: Uh yeah let's go

YN and Eli went to the front of the school to wait to get picked up. Eli's mom had arrived first to pick her up. Meanwhile, Geoffrey was talking to Kathy when he finished talking he told her that he was going to go use the restroom. Kathy went to the front of the to talk to YN.

Kathy: Hi YN  (giving her a fake smile)

YN:Hi Kathy (smiling back at her)

Kathy: Look I'm just here to tell you that you need to stay away from Geoffrey he's mine. I'm not going to let you take him away from me. I see how you look at him. Right away it looks like you like him but not as a friend. Oh also tell Elizabeth to stay away from Geoffrey. Don't tell him what I told this or else you will regret it 

YN: Kathy you have it all wrong I don't like him and he just my friend me also to Elizabeth. (you had to lie to Kathy in reality you did like Geoffrey) I'm not going to stay away from Geoffrey because he's my friend and Elizabeth. You can't tell me to stay away from him. I thought you were nice but now I see that your not.

Kathy got mad and pushed YN on the ground. She got on top of you started punishing you and started pulling your hair. You tried to fight back but you couldn't until finally started fighting back. That's when Geoffrey was coming back from the restroom and saw you on top of Kathy hitting her.

Geoffrey: YN what are you doing my girlfriend!! Get off her now (grabbing you by the waist to get off of Kathy)

Kathy: Geoffrey please get YN away from me she hurt me. (she told Geoffrey crying)

YN:Geoffrey let go of me !! (Geoffrey let go of you)

Geoffrey went to help Kathy he asked if her if she was okay. Kathy told him that she was ok and quickly hugged him while she crying. 

YN saw that Geoffrey was hugging Kathy. You felt like crying and then you thought it was best if you stayed away from Geoffrey. Every time you saw Geoffrey with Kathy YN felt sad. You knew that Geoffrey would never see you as a girlfriend but a friend. Or not as a friend at all since you got in a fight with his girlfriend. Even though you defending your self he would probably not believe you since Geoffrey would probably believe his girlfriend. YN heard someone calling your name you looked up and saw that it was your brother Alex.

Alex: Hi enana why is your hair all messed up and bleeding from your elbows? You also have scratches on your face what's going on YN.

Who did this to you and where's Geoffrey? Go tell him he has to leave with us because Rodney is working.

YN: um I trip over a rock and I fell on the ground. That's why my elbows are bleeding and my hair is a mess. 

The scratch....(you couldn't finish telling your brother what happened cause Geoffrey interrupted you)

Geoffrey: YN why did get in a fight with my girlfriend she told me that she wanted to be nice to you. Why did you tell her to stay away from me. Why did tell her that YN? (Giving you a disappointing look) I'm sorry shortie but I think we can't be friends anymore as much as it hurts me. If I had to choose between you and my girlfriend then I would choose Kathy.

Geoffrey: Wait your bleeding YN let me see where he asked worriedly. 

Look shorty as much as want to believe I can't cause how do I know your not lying to me. Plus I thought you were my friend but of what happened today I don't think we can be any friends anymore.

YN: I'm fine Geoffrey and I promise you that I'm not lying to you. Please Royce you have believed me( tears started rolling down your cheeks)

Geoffrey Could stand seeing you cry it really hurt him to see you crying but had already made his decision. YN quickly wiped your tears away walked over to your brother. (with your head down)

Alex: so mean to tell me that YN got in a fight with your girlfriend. Is that why your bleeding and you have those scratches on your face.

Enana is that true what Geoffrey is saying?

YN: yes it's true what Geoffrey is saying but I only was only defending myself. She threw me on the ground and when I finally got to defend myself that's when Geoffrey saw me fighting Kathy. Oh and Geoffrey I never told her anything but I understand if you don't to be friends. (You told him sadly looking at the ground about to almost start crying)

Alex: alright YN I'm glad you told me the truth but you Know I have to tell our parents what happened. Let's go home and you're coming home with me Geoffrey your brother told me to pick you up.
