hey halt their conversation for a while, allowing Raemon to return the plates and bottles back to the kitchen via a Shadow Gate. He walks back after a minute or two, and Liliane continues their discussion. Their voices drones on and on, eventually drawing Leona to sleep. “And the man had the guts to look down on me as if I were some-“ “Lily.” Raemon softly calls out to her, making her pause in her rant. She turns to face him, a questioning look on her face. The sight of Leona fighting slumber makes a soft smile to grace her lips. Her eyes go soft, gazing at the teen with affection. Raemon lets a deep chuckle as the Vermillion heiress blinks sluggishly, fighting back sleep with determination. “This girl.” Liliane lets out an amused huff. “Maybe this might help.” She then proceeds in softly singing in Mithranese. It doesn’t take long before Leona falls into deep sleep, making the two sigh in relief. Raemon gently carries her over to her bed in a bridal style. Liliane moves the thick covers out of the way, giving way for Raemon to lay her sleeping sister on the bed. Once Leona is laid on her bed, Liliane covers her, making sure not to jolt her awake. Raemon walks over to her nightstand and switches on the music box sitting it. The familiar tranquil music spills out, making the two smile in remembrance. Liliane and Raemon each lay one last kiss on her forehead before they stealthily walk away from their slumbering sister; their footstep silent as ever. Liliane locks the balcony doors before walking over to Raemon, who is waiting by the door. He opens it and they walk out of Leona’s room. Before fully walking out, Liliane snaps her finger and the crystal lights switches off. She tosses one last smile at her sister’s sleeping form before walking out, closing the door gently behind her. Liliane and Raemon walk to their rooms in silence. Seeing as their rooms are close to Leona’s, they didn’t walk for too long. Liliane’s door comes into sight and they halt in front of it. “You know most of their weaknesses, don’t you?” “Yes.” “Can they be killed easily?” “…no.” “Then we find a way. Leona is not going to be in that marriage for long. Even if we have to negotiate or kill them, she gets her freedom back before her seventeen birthday. Is that clear?” “Crystal.” “Good. Then I bid you goodnight Ray.” “Night.” With that being said, Liliane walks into her room, closing the door behind silently. Raemon breaths out through his nose before going to his room, mind running through many contingency plans. EIGHT Hurried footsteps can be heard as a figure runs through a darkened hallway, breathing heavily in terror. Screams of terror and death can be heard all around, along with the symphony of blood splattering and bodies being stabbed and rendered into pieces. The person somehow manages to get outside, a shaky and crazy grin of relief stretching on their lips. But that relief doesn’t last for long. Suddenly, they scream in agony, falling down in pain. They look down at their right leg, which now has a large icicle protruding out from it. They hurriedly break both ends of the icicle, screaming in pain as they did so. Blood flows like a little stream from it and softly make its way onto the green grasses and flowers. They stand up and start limping, trying to get away from the m******e behind them. They look back once more when they could no longer hear the screams. They turn their head, stopping in fright as their eyes settle on the person standing few feet away of them. “Please…” They whisper out, eyes blown wide in fear. “Please, I’ll give you anything you want.” They take shaky steps back, trying to move far away from the demonic form in front of them. “You know…” A voice started behind them and the blooded man swivels around to face them. “For a person who managed to get the blood of the ninth Earth Guardian, you are pretty damn easy to find, Mage Nerman. The owner of the voice step into the light provided by the moons and Nerman gasp in fear. “No…” He whispers, head shaking in disbelief. “No! I haven’t done anything wrong!” “Your actions says otherwise.” They figure says coldly. “Not only do you house dangerous relics that should be lost to time in your home, you experimented on innocent children for you sick pleasure and selfish curiosity.” They walk slowly to Nerman, who limps backways. “Children that I have to cut down because of how twisted they have become, due to you making use of the blood you unwillingly took.” They stop in their steps, looking down at Nerman coldly. “Your time have come, Nerman Delerys.” Whilst saying this, another figure walks up to them, bearing two heads in both hands. “And don’t worry, your wife and daughter are already.” The figure throws the heads nonchalantly and they roll towards him and stop at his feet. Nerman stares into the dead and terrified eyes of his wife and child. Their mouths are opened in silent screams, adding to their horrified and frightened look. He gives a heart wrenching sob, dropping abruptly to the floor. He gently holds their heads in each hands, caressing their cheeks. “They had nothing to do with this!” He chuckles darkly, eyes turning black. Without further ado, he shrinks down, taking on his human form – albeit still looking the same. The only thing that changes is his size and height, which is now 6'4. The blunet’s legs are back on the ground, although, she stands on her toes. With a snap of his fingers, the Demon sets the manor on fire, along with its dead owner. The blunet throws one last glance at the flaming corpse before turning her attention back to her partner; throwing her arms on his shoulders. “Come, let me show you how much I’ve missed you sbsnxn dhdb d xj xjd dj rjr nd dbd dbo.” He growls deeply, his grip on her waist tightening. And with that, the four of them disappear, leaving the burning scenery behind.
