A few hours pass by, they were riding closer to the brown of dusk. The stars started emanating from the horizon. The moon had presented itself. They were in the middle of nowhere. The green lands stretched to the never-ending line that met the setting sun. They reached a self-sustaining tree that had stretched its branches wide and was seemed to be thriving alone since there weren't any trees around it. They planned on resting for the night. The nightfall had set its blanket, covering the light in the darkness. Only the moon and stars shone, making it visible enough to see the shadows.
They dismount and tie their horses to separate branches so that they won't get into unnecessary quarrels and eat their share of leaves alone. The first fire was lit for many more days to come when they would be doing it every day to keep away wild hounds that might attack them during their rest. The ignited fire crackles, making them feel comfortable and warm in the dead cold of the night. They set their beds around the fire and under the tree's shade.
Everyone warms their meat sticks on the fire and eats them. They all were exhausted from the traveling they did since morning that they fall asleep right after they were finished eating. The fire warming up their bodies had given them a rest that they probably never had in their lives.
The gloom was grave silent, only a few insects stridulating or creaking, tuning their sounds in a rhythmic lullaby.
The dawn reached, the sun rose, and the moon and stars had gone to take a shift on the other side of the world. When they awoke, they saw the true beauty of the tree under whose shade they had rested. It looked like they were blessed by the heavens anigh, which showered them with the rays of the sun through the tree's dense branches. They were motivated and, the level of positivity had increased, making them hope to find a place to settle down faster. They pack up and leave to complete the rest of the journey.
They had galloped through the never-ending fields for the entire day until they reached the start of a forest. They rested to regain energy, to venture into the forests the next day. They had to be more careful at night because they might be attacked by anything.
They had to slow down the speed of their horses, as the land was rugged and there were many fallen trees that they had to overcome. They were hoping to find a livable place here. The trees were tall and not dense. After a few hours of intensive search for a place, they reached a place where they found a freshwater pond which was hidden behind a few dense trees. They also found an open land that looked livable. They were excited and celebrated, finding a place to live. Miles had kept it a secret that he was directed by his father to come to this place and enjoyed the celebration with them.
There are still many problems they have to overcome on their own. They had received help to find a place but, the other errands they have to run by themselves. They have to serve a purpose soon so, they should get stronger and tough to overcome the hardships together...
