Chapter 3:The Visit

Can I come in my dear?” Lori asked from the doorway.

“Yes Mum,”Lily replied as she was blowdrying her hair.

“ I wanted to talk to you yesterday.You didn't seem okay.”Lori said gently. “l’m here for you incase you need me”

“Thankyou, Mum,”Lily replied ,though she struggled to open up.

“Lily,Victoria,Lori,the guests will arrive anytime from now,” Rick.

Outside the sun bathed the house in golden light.

Rick,Lori and Shaun addressed the pack .

“It is a great day today my people because as you all know we are hosting the Moon pack the strongest pack in the Northern territory .This visit is to ensure alliance between us and them and you can use this chance for any of you members who have come at age to know whether you have any members of them as mates,”Rick announced.

Shaun addressed the crowd informing them that they could return back to their homes and those who had activities like sparring can resume with their day to day activities.

“I’m going to the sparring center to spar with Grace,”Lily said.

Lori who had been doing the breakfast dishes looked up to her daughter and said “I know you are just going to gossip dear,”Lori commented.

Deep down she was glad Lily had someone she could talk to regardless of the incident that took away the only person she always confided in.

“Hello there,hello grandma Eve,”Lilysaid. She kept on greeting the people she would find joyfully.

Finally Liky arrived at the spar grounds.Grace was tying the box of red gloves,and Lily approached her.

“Friend have you heard about the visit,”Lily said.

“Yes,but am excited mainly to meet their leader the Alpha,Grace said.He is muscular,his voice just makes you want him to keep talking forever,his Adam's apple huhhh,”Grace said with alot of emotions.

“What is wrong with you and Victoria,”Lily said confusion written allover her face.

She was so perplexed by the fact that her sister and her friend were so drawn by this Alpha regardless of having not met him not even once.

“There are people in our territory,”the Omega reported to Shaun.

“Let them in and destabilise the electricity at the gate.Send someone to notify the Alpha,”Shaun said.

“Aye aye captain ,”the Omega said as he walked back towards the main gate.

Once the gates were opened,Theodore and his pack entered and were welcomed by Rick, his Beta and Omega.

“It's an honour to meet you Theodore,”Rick said.

“The pleasure is mine,” Theodore said as he reached out for Rick's hand.

The two Alphas made brief introductions between themselves showing eachother there Betas and Omegas.Rick asked Shaun to take the other pack members of the Moon pack as he has a brief word with Theodore back at his house.For a brief moment Theodore nodded at Achilles before turning back to Rick who was leafing the way.Shaun took the rest of the pack around showing them where the pack houses were,the sparring grounds where they trained their warriors ,the surveillance offices as to where they watched anyone especially rogues crossing into their territory,the green houses.

“I assure you this alliance is going to benefit the both of our packs,”Rick said.

Theodore looked back at him amused by the alliance that had been agreed upon between the both of them.Deep down he felt like he needed to change plans but he had a pack to expand.The door of the house opened and there came in Lori and Victoria with groceries .

“Theodore this is my wife,Lori and my youngest daughter,Victoria,”Rick said proudly.

“Its nice to meet the both of you,”Theodore said .

Victoria giggled playfully not breaking eye contact with Theodore.

“So,Theodore let's give you a tour of our territory,”Rick said.

As they walked,girls seemed to be fazed by Theodore masculinity and kept giggling as he greeted them.

“Who is the girl with the crimson-red hair,”Theodore asked as they arrived atthe sparing grounds.

“Have you taken a liking to her Alpha,”Rick teased .

“No Rick,am just asking to know because her sparing is good,”Theodore replied.

“Thats my daughter,Lily,”Rick answered proudly.

Lily had been sparring with Grace at the moment.

“Lily,”Theodore whispered.The way her name rolled off his tongue in repetition.He had been caught by her beauty,the way her crimson-red hair flowed as she spared,her petiteness.He was drawn to her.

“Hmm hmm,Lily its him just behind you,”Grace whispered.

Lily turned to look but she only saw her father's familiar silhouette and a broad shouldered man whose shirt was visibly tight on his back walking with him.

At the lunch hour,the two packs got to exchange pleasantries as they had a feast.

“He is the one in a black shirt and brown hair,”Victoria pulled onto her sister as she showed Lily.

Lily was lost in the moment as he stared at the greenest eyes she had ever seen.The way he swallowed his water effortlessly.The glass looked like it could break in his hands.

“Lily you might drool.”Victoria said as she laughed.Ooh please,what is there to drool about,”Lily said.

After the feast,the members of the Moon pack bid farewell to the members of Crescent pack.

Lily kept thinking back to the Alpha she had seen,the weight of his presence as though the air itself leaned towards him.his Broad shoulders that were slightly stooped not from weakness but from the quite bit from carrying responsibilty,

silence or people's expectations.His hands stood out the most vividly.Broad palmed they carry the quite evidence of work,faint scars, roughened skin and evidence of someone who has fixed them rather than simply touched them.

She told herself it meant nothing.
