Chapter 4:The storm

Back at Moon pack,Theodore couldn't stop thinking about the Alpha's daughter.How he memorised the small details about her without meaning to. The memory so vivid in his head as though it had been imprinted.A fortnight had passed but the feeling was fresh it left him wondering what was so different about this particular girl.The way she tucked her crimson hair behind her ear as she continued to spar,her gentleness as she spared with her partner leaving a sense of warmth behind her.How soft would her voice sound like.Would her tone be soft and warm or does she talk slowly choosing each word carefully.Giggles were heard in the study.

“Theodore you seem out of it are you okay,Achilles asked.Because for the past week you seem fazed out and lost in your thoughts,he continued.”

“Am okay just thinking about the takeover,”Theodore said.Discussions continued between Theodore,Achilles and Daryl about how to attack the Crescent pack.

“I hope the warriors are ready,”Theodore asked Daryl.

“Yes they are ready Alpha,”Daryl answered confidently.

A week from now at dawn they were to takeover the Crescent pack thereafter his expansion he would have power to take over the Kai pack .

“Hey love,"Bethany said.

As she saw the sight of Theodore in the livingroom.Theodore seemed bothered.

Stop with the words"Theodore muttered.

Isabella who had been in the livingroom realised her brother had something on his mind that was disturbing him so she whispered to Bethany to leave them alone for a moment.

“What is wrong,brother,”Isabella asked.

“Nothing I can't handle,”Theodore replied arrogantly.

“Am here if you need me brother,”Isabella replied as she proceeded to climb the stairs leaving Theodore in thought.Its for best Theodore thought to himself.

Back at the Crescent pack,Lily,Victoria and Grace spared together to improve their combat skills.Rick clapped as he approached the two wrestling.

“Get her Lily, pin her down.” he continued.The sound of his voice in desperation as though he eagerly was waiting for something to happen.

“Yes finally!,”Rick shouted victoriously. As Lily pinned Grace down.

The two girls panted as the fight seemed to come to an end.

“Same time tomorrow friend,”Grace said.

Lily who was in approval nodded at Grace.

“Who is that approaching our barrier?”the surveillance person inquired from his neighbour as they watched from the terrace above.

“They may be rogue let them come and we capture them ,”the neighbour replied.

“They are many,”he replied.The surprise evident in his voice.

“ They are running towards our barriers.Go and notify the Beta,the surveillance person said.”

Outside the barrier smoke boluses were thrown into the territory.An alarm was heard across the territory evidence of an attack that was happening.

Shaun approached Rick rushingly.

“What are your orders,Alpha,”Shaun asked.

“Assemble the troops,Rick shouted.

Before anyone could move a howl was heard through the trees one that was ruthless and triumphant. At that moment Rick realised it was the Alpha of the Moon pack, Theodore who had come to attack his territory.The sour feelings of bitterness ripped through his heart wondering how naive he must have been to let the enemy walk through his gates as an ally.

The pack members of the Moon pack exploded from darkness,climbing the walls the bodies shifted into their wolf forms lunging forward,eyes burning gold.

“Keep them alive,kill those who refuse to surrender,”Theodore said.

“The most important thing is to capture the Alpha and his family it will be easier for them to surrender,”Theodore said.

“The both of you stay with me at all times,”Lori said to the two girls.

Inside the barriers,smoke was alot..and the pack members were panicking ,some had already shifted into their forms as they were battling the enemy pack.

“Where are we running to mum?” Victoria asked.

“We are heading to the cave that can lead us outside,”Lori replied.

“Who have attacked us mum?”Lily asked.

As she was running behind Victoria.

“Its the Moon pack,” Lori replied.

“We can't leave our people to face these people head on mum,”Lily said.

The disappointment evident in her voice.

“You are the future of our pack's existence,if you are captured they will have to kill you because you are the future Alpha so either you are run away or bend the knee,”Lori replied panickingly.

Bending the knee for an Alpha to another was rather an ashaming act as it would denounce their title and his pack would be under that pack.

As they were heading for a nearby corridor,Lily spotted an enemy attacking a young boy and she charged transforming into a white wolf at the black furred werewolf.

“Lily,no,”Lori screamed.

She was scared of what would happen to her daughter.The two wolves crushed together in a blur of fur and claws tearing at each others fur.Lily paused for a moment looking at the place she once called home,a feeling of anger swarmed into her.A place that she would once rule as an Alpha has been taken over by the pack they once invited in as allies.

As Lily was fighting the black wolf,the other enemy wolves started surrounding them immediately. Both Lori and Victoria transformed into their wolves.Blood darkened their furs and terror flashed in their eyes but they did not stop fighting.Smoke was everywhere an sudden fires had been lit in their houses.Lori was pinned beneath an attacker and they seemed outnumbered.

A big large brown wolf threw itself at the enemy,driving it back long enough for Lori to crawl free.With the cries that were being heard,Rick transformed into his human form and snarled.

“This is our territory!voice filled with fury.Let me talk to your Alpha,”Rick ordered.

They had been encircled and hope was at its minimum.

“Let me talk to him alone,”Rick insisted.

Achilles approached them from a far taking Rick away from his family.

“I will sort this my dear and come back to you,”Rick said as he left Lori's bleeding arms.

Most pack members had been captured and small circles of the captured had been made and instructed to transform back into their human forms to prevent any attacks to be made.Wounds and blood were visible on them.

“We need clothes we can't just stay naked,”Lori said.

As looked at Daryl who she specifically remembered from the visit earlier.Daryl led men to some of the houses that had not been destroyed to gather clothes for the members.

“Luna are we going to be okay,”the pack members asked.As they knelt on the bare earth below them,the cold hitting them.

“Yes,have faith in the Alpha,Lori said.This will all be behind us.”

A group of the Moon pack members approached the pack members handing them out clothes that had been picked from the houses.The pack members wore the clothes.Some of the clothes looked big on them and others too small.

“Grace are you okay,”Lily shouted.

Grace was brought to the group.

“Do not touch me,”she kept on mumbled to to the attacker who was forcefully holding her wrist.

“Silence,”Daryl shouted.The impact echoed through the houses a far.

“Please do not take away our home,”Rick begged.The wounds he had were healing healing .

“Our territory is what we have.Besides we had never attacked you and we formed an alliance.Why would you attack us?”Rick asked.

“I was never a part of your alliance Theodore stated coldly.I just simply wanted to know how your barriers looked like and the weaknesses.”

There was no sign of emotion written allover his face.

“As much as I have destroyed this place I’m to build it up and design it back to a better place,”Theodore said.

Achilles who never wanted to be apart of this was evidently frowning at what was taking place.

“Bend the knee,”Theodore said.

It almost came out as an order.

“You and your people will be spared as well as your life,”Theodore said.

Rick was surprised by what was being asked of him .He could not fathom what he had just said.

“Bend the knee right now and I will spare all your lives,”Theodore repeated.

Rick seemed hesitant but he couldn't disappoint his people by bending the knee.It would cause shame for his pack.It would be known throughout the four territories that he was a weak Alpha who bent the knee.To an Alpha, their pride and reputation mattered more than anything.

With a sharp exhale,Rick dropped to one knee,the weight of the moment pressing down on him.

What's that intoxicating scent,Lily thought to herself.

The woody pine scent clung to her softly like it promised something forbidden.She never wanted it to stop and beneath the sweetness,the scent stirred an instinct as much as desire.

Mate is it !Liky whispered to herself.

It can't be she could not believe it and it couldn't be someone from her camp so could it be someone from the attackers pack!
