Chapter 5:Mate is it!

As Theodore approached the captives,a welcoming soft warm scent engulfed him.The smell was lush and it carried notes of vanilla and the night air.
Every breath of it settled into his chest as though inviting yet dangerous.
It was as of she was the center of his world.
“Her it's her..,”he whispered to himself.
The look of shock as he looked at the crimson-red haired girl who was laying on the ground.
Her skin was healing but the damage could be seen.
Her fragile body in the clothes that seemed to be bigger than her size.She seemed at peace and there is a satisfaction that came with just staring at her in the moment.
“What the hell is wrong with me.”Theodore thought.
“From today onwards,I am your Alpha and you have no other choice than to bend the knee as your former Alpha has already bent it,”Theodore commanded.
Whispers were heard from the captives as they were fazed by the information as some nodded and seemed to be in denial.
A tear flowed on Lori's right cheek but it was relief she felt that atleast her husband was still alive.
“Anyone who refuses will be killed,”Achilles announced confidently.
“Please dont hurt my people,”Rick begged.
A cold bare back infront of him that beamed of confidence.
“I will kill all your people at once and kill you last,”the figure spoke up.
Lily looked at her father worrisomely that something bad was to happen.She clenched at the silky bedsheets desperation feeling her face.
At the far end it seemed like a soothing voice kept on calling out to her.
“Its okay,its okay”the voice said
Lily woke up panting.She sat up straight in the black silk bedsheets panting and there she was engulfed in muscular hands. They felt hard and still smooth at the same time as though someone trained each and everyday,the woody scent stronger than never before.
”No!she screamed don't hurt my father.”
She panted the fear evident in her voice.
“Its okay,calm down you are safe,”the masculine figure that was she was holding onto dearly said.
The contact with skin made it feel like a burn,one that was pleasurable.
Lily pulled back.
She looked at the familiar face she had once seen and the feeling of admiration for the figure swarmed in.
Sweat dripping from her head.
The clothes she had been given the previous night felt so loose on her yet dump.She wrecked of a stench.
At the sight of the clothes that's when the worry came back.
“Who are you,”Lily asked.
The thoughts flowed in.
“Where is Victoria,Mum and Dad?”she asked.
But the figure just stared plainly at her.
“They are okay,”Theodore spoke.
His voice filled with uncertainty as though he had said something wrong.
Lily watched the way he pronounced the words leaving his Adam's apple to make subtle movement.
Its like there was a yearn for him that she just couldn't understand.
“I need to see my family and my people” she said.
The desiring thoughts she had were the last thing she could care about.
She staggered as she stood up from the bed as she reached out to the pole beside her.
“You need time to heal properly,your wounds are healed but your body is still processing,”Theodore said.
Angry at everything that had happened,who was this figure who was trying to care,Lily thought and the question left her mouth again.
“Who the f**k are you,”Lily asked angrily.
“Language please,”Theodore said teasingly…
“I’m your mate. The Alpha of the Moon pack.”Theodore.
Feelings of revenge and anger rushed in.Lily was in disbelief as she couldn't believe her ears.
How could the Moon goddess pair her with someone so despicable.
Despite her disgust for him she still felt un unwavering longing for him.
Every feature on him seemed well put,she stated longingly in his eyes.
“So you mean you cant feel the spark berween us,”Theodore teased.
“No it can't be,” Lily uttered in disbelief.
The words finally leaving her mouth.
“Never will I be your mate,”Lily sounded confident as she spoke.
A flush of pain seemed to be evident on Theodore face but he recomposed himself Theodore stepped out of the room and Lily sobbed into tears.
She kept on mumbling.
It can't be it can't be.
After sometime,a knock on the door and it was opened.
A jolly faced girl stepped in.Hey,she casually said as she reached for Lily who had folded herself onto the ground.
She had brunette hair and as she had a diastema making her features to stand out more.
Lily looked at her and didn't reply to the greeting.
“I am sorry for what happened to your pack but if its any consolation,nothing has happened to them,Isabella said.Besides Theodore is a good person she said confidently and the goodness is that you are to have lunch with your family.”
“In a while am to bring you a pair of good clothes,Isabella said. As you freshen up.”
As Lily was led by the guard up to the house that had been given to them,she observed that the territory was not all that bad.
They quite had some good infrastructure in their pack.
“Dad,Mum,Vicky!”Lily exclaimed. As she opened the door to a nice furbished house.
The interior was well decorated and she took her time to take in where she was standing.
“Are you okay dear,”Rick asked worrysomely.
“Did he do anything to you,did he touch you,”both Lily and Rick asked in turns concerned.
“Yes I am dad,”Lily said.
As she hugged the both of them.
‘Can you give us some space to talk?’Rick asked.He was annoyed at the guard who had been watching them the whole time.
He nodded and stepped outside.
“Where is Grace and everyone Dad,”Lily asked.
“We have been given houses to stay in but we have been told to adapt,”Rick muttered.
As though the words didn't want to leave his mouth.
“Dad,mum I have something to tell you,”Lily said.
“I have found my mate,”Lily asked.
“Who is it?”Rick asked.
Interested to know and Lori looked eager to know.
“It is the Alpha of the pack or should I say Theodore,”Lily replied.
The name leaving her mouth sourly.The shock and disgust was registered on all their faces.
“I am letting you know because I am going to reject him,”Lily said confidently.
