There were three men with asterisks next to their names along with their addresses and phone numbers. They were in alphabetical order: Ben Bartlett, Frank Frost, and Lucas Sangria. Cathy decided to visit Bartlett first. His address was close to the college and was the furthest away of the other two, but she figured she could circle back after speaking with him. She considered calling first, but she wasn’t sure what to say, and she thought it would be harder for him to turn her away in person.
When she got to his house, a two-story Georgian less than a mile from campus, she did a quick Google search of him and wasn’t surprised when he was listed as a professor in the English Department at Humbard Valley College.
