While Florence and Doug thought the message Cathy received was a prank, Cathy wasn’t convinced. She considered sharing it with Leroy or Howard. She brought it up to her room with the kittens when she went to bed and put it in her purse. She’d be seeing Nancy the next day and would ask her what she made of it. Then she called Marta to fill her in on what she’d found out from the three Talking Parrots group members. She didn’t mention the letter left by her door when she came home.
Marta thanked her for her help and said it wasn’t necessary to bring her Bodkin’s book. Cathy was glad about that because she wanted more time to study it. She also figured she should eventually return it to Sam.
