Living with new people

Few minutes passed. No one spoke a word, complete silence engulfed the room.
"I also have some conditions", Tara breaks the silence.
"Speak", he was amused when she said this. Everything is in his hands, he can force her to do it, but he still wants to hear her.
Tara was not sure if he would give her a chance to speak or not, but he kept surprising her with unexpected answers.
"I want my phone back. At least when it is important", she was sure he would reject this idea. But what happens when her family and friends come to know about this sudden k********g? Do they even know where I am now to find?
"Only when it is important", he assured her. "Next condition", he continued.
"Laura will live with me in the same room". She wanted Laura safe. And this was a better way to make sure of her safety.
"Accepted", he said.
"Give me a specific time period i would live here", she asked for a clear thing. Who knows how long his 'as long as i want is'. Dominic felt somewhat different when she asked when she could leave his house. But he chose to ignore that feeling.
"Two months", he replied.
"Alright.",she nodded. "I need my phone right now so, at least I can inform my friends about my sudden holiday plan", she said in a sarcastic tone. He looked at her face blankly then gestured to his man to take her phone.
His man placed mobile on the table. Tara looked at his face, he was already looking at her face.
"On speaker", his voice sharp which he uses with business people. Tara picked up her phone, going through her contact list she called her friend.
"Hey Tara, where are you?", she called one of her best friends.
"Hey, I have a sudden change in plans", she spoke nervously.
"What has changed and where are you now?",her friend questioned, as she found her voice a bit different.
"I am in Italy to have some good time for 2-3 weeks. Please handle work for me", she kept her tone normal like usual.
"This is so sudden. Is everything OK?", she asked again.
"Yes, all good. Just need some time for myself.", she assured her. Well, it was not a total lie, she was actually thinking of taking a break from work. By gods' grace she got a good long holiday of 2 months, with a lot of additional unknown surprises.
" OK.", her friend replied.
"If my phone is not reachable, don't worry i will call back, as I'm planning to visit many places where there might be a network problem.", she gave a good excuse to hide the situation. Dominic was listening to everything silently.
"Tara, I am not sure why it sounds a little weird to me. I guess I'm not used to listening to something like this from you. No worry, I will handle everything. Enjoy your holidays." her friend wished her good and cut the call.
She locked her phone and again kept it on the table as she couldn't take it with her.
"Escort miss. Tara to their room", he commanded his guard. And Tara silently walked out with a guard following her.
As the door closed, his eyes went towards the phone on the table.
