Dominic looked at Tara's hand holding his hand. When she saw his gaze fixed on their hands, she quickly stepped back, releasing his hand and maintaining distance between them. His eyes travelled upward from her legs to her head, then stopped when they had eye contact.
His left eyebrow raised perfectly in a questioning way, clear to give a good reason to stop him. Tara swallowed when, under his intense gaze, his calm but dangerous aura was all to speak, not to mess with him.
"She is just a child", she tried to sound calm and confident without showing her nervousness.
"So", he asked to test her courage.
"I don't know what has happened between you and Regan. But the child has nothing to do with it", she clearly spoke out her reason.
"What is your relationship with him?", he questioned her. Though he already knew everything about Regan, he was unsure of his relationship with Tara.
"A friend", she answered. He looked at Regan when she answered, whose face was blank. No one can know his real emotions, but for Dominic, he clearly saw that Regan didn't like the reality of his relationship with Tara.
"You can leave", he said, gesturing to his man to let her go.
"What about them?", she asked about Laura and Regan. He looked at her like was he really supposed to answer her every question. When she understood the meaning of his gaze, she quickly said, "Please let Laura go". She asked for what was in her hand. As for Regan, he had to find his way out. She knew she couldn't do anything for him.
"Tara, please leave", Regan pleaded Tara to leave. Though he also wanted Laura to leave with her, he knew Dominic wouldn't let her go out of her hands.
"Not without Laura", she stated her decision.
"No", she said, without looking at Regan.
"Leave now or you will stay here with them", he gave her final warning. When she didn't answer, his men grabbed her along with them and took them out of the room.
"let them go bastard", Regan cursed loudly, when the Dominic's men dragged them away, which was ignored by everyone. At last Dominic left, not before giving him his best smirk.
