Why Me

After few days my mother is becoming better and better. I don't know anything about my dad right now and I don't even want to know since he choose other rather than his own family. I just wonder that loyal man even exist in world.

" Mom drink some soup". My little sister Baby is studying in grade eight and Cutie is only four years old so it's my duty to keep them all safe and happy.

"Mom, take the medicine".

" It taste very bitter, let's not drink it". Mom hates to take medicine and every time I need to trick her to take it.

Everything was getting better and my aunt also tried her best to help us.

It was beautiful morning and I was going to fetch water near the river below our village, the richest man of our village Mr. Chimi was also there.

" Good morning sir".

I wish him with respect. " Hello Choden, where are you going early morning."

" I came here to fetch some water sir".

" Poor girl, your don't need to suffer much if you become mine forever". He smiled at me.

" What do you mean sir, I didn't get it".

" You will soon know about everything, don't worry". what does this old man mean by becoming his forever , anyway I don't need to brother about this ." Okey sir, have a nice day". He laughed as if I was cracking some jokes.

I hurried back to home and do my normal house works. Almost eight days passed staying at home and soon I need to go back to school. I hope mom will recover fully before I leave , if not I may need to ask for more leave that Principal hardly agree.

" Baby, breakfast is ready . Eat fast or else you will be late for school".

" Okey sister, just give me five seconds ".

After sending Baby to school I was still left with lots of work do do. I hardly get any time to watch movie this days but at was fine for me as long as my family are happy.

"What? Choden father divorce with aunty Dema and marrying another girl". One of my neighbour was talking with another neighbor.

" He is too much, what he thinks of himself. Better care your daughter, he may aim for her as well".

" If he does Soo than I will not keep him alive ".

They both become silent as soon as they saw me. " Where are you going Choden ". They asked.

" Field".

"Poor girl. She suffered alot at a young age".

They are still talking at my back. I don't blame them because they are talking about the truth and I can't do anything even I want to.

Hearing crazy news about my father I felt like heavy stone was hanging around my heart . The pain was very hard to control.I cried my heart out at field knowing no one is near me. Sometimes crying is best medicine to decrease the pain.

When I return home aunt , Mr.Chimi and mom was chatting in sitting room. I didn't give them much attention and went to kitchen.

That night aunt came in my room and said " Choden, I think you should drop out from school and stay at home to help your family."

" Aunt I know you worried about us but I don't think that we can be happy forever with this decision".

" I know it's hard for you to accept but think about your mother, do you want her to suffer more?"

" Aunt but..."

" Lesson, Mr.Chimi wanted to marry you and I think you won't get perfect husband like him. I have already said yes to him."

" Aunt are you out of mind, He is much older than me almost twenty age gaps between us. I am just like her daughter, how can you think about such things aunt".

" Ages doesn't matter as long as he have enough money to support you".

" Aunt , please just leave it giving me more pain than my past. Do you think having money is everything in world. If you like him so much why don't you married him?"

" Choden behave yourself, it's for your own good".

"I don't care".

without any more words I run towards outside to have some fresh air. Am I that worthless that I need to relay on rich man. It's better to suffer rather than marrying this old , selfish man in this world. I don't need a man to have good life. I am strong enough to face my life alone.

I stayed for hours near tap crying and washing my face . I felt like bloods are running through my face.

I was unable to sleep that night, at the middle of night mom came in my room.

" I know what your aunt said...."

" Please stop it mom I am already stressed about aunt discission ".

" I also don't want you to married that man. I just want to say that you should complete your study and become best doctor of Bhutan". What? Now she want me to become doctor, that's not in my list . I always prefer math rather than biology but studying biology is better than marrying a old man.

"Okey mom. I will become best doctor if you lead me to continue my study . Thank you mom".

I hugged her even though it was just fake happiness. I can't give up my dream of becoming world best writer in world. How can I become writer by studying biology. I think my dreams completely dies here. Why me , why I need to suffer Soo much .
