Ian's POV "Here's the papers. Once she signs everything, she's free to go," the nurse informed us and I gave her a small smile. "Thank you," I told her and Halie scoffed. She had been doing that a lot, anytime a nurse came in. We were out of the hospital within the next few hours. Halie never spoke a word, just sat and stared out of the window, ignoring me. I knew she was hurting, but I didn't know how to comfort her. The next few days were rough. Halie moved around the house sad and lifeless. It pained my heart.
