She paced the length of her living room, her mind replaying the events of the day. Each step echoed her frustration and anger.   Christy stood by the window, looking out at the city below. The lights of the buildings seemed distant, almost mocking. She felt the weight of Damien and Seraphina's press conference bearing down on her. Their evidence, their confident smiles, the way they turned the public against her - it all fueled a burning rage within her.   "They think they can just cast me aside," she muttered to herself, her voice filled with bitterness."They think they can ruin me and walk away unscathed.
