Rachel immediately regretted her words and realized she had mishandled the situation. She knew Seraphina was hurting and needed support, not unsolicited advice.
She took a deep breath and went after Seraphina, who was standing outside, tears streaming down her face.
"Seraphina, wait! I'm so sorry. I was totally out of line. Please come back inside and let's start again," Rachel pleaded, her voice soft and gentle.
Seraphina turned around, her eyes red and puffy. "I can't believe you, Rachel. You're supposed to be my friend, not some armchair therapist telling me to stay with a cheating man!"
Rachel nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. "I know, I know. I was wrong. I just wanted to help, but I went about it the wrong way. Please forgive me and come back inside."
