The telescope was shiny but looked ancient, she could tell from its design.
She couldn't stop herself, she started running around checking different books all at once. Maybe she thought that she could read all of them in just a day.
Khai came back with one glass each in both hands, he was surprised to find an empty sitting room.
"Did she maybe leave?" He asked himself quietly, he was disturbed by the thought of her leaving without telling him.
Mylar!
Mylar!
Mylar! Mylar!!!
He called out loud over and over again but little did he know that Mylar was lost in her world, a world full of books and endless reading.
After a while of not getting any response, he decided to place the cups on the center table and as he bent to do so, his deep blue eyes noticed the door of the library open.
He quietly walked in on Mylar who was sitting down on a chair confused as to which book to read first, she scratched her forehead in distress.
Khai smiled at this and walked closer to her, he lowered his lips onto her bare neck. She got startled and jumped up.
"Didn't mean to scare you babe but your glass of mulled wine has been waiting for quite some time," Khai said to her with an apologetic smile.
"Oh, I am so sorry that I came here without asking, I was drawn to the library because of my love for books," Mylar said explaining to him.
