“Save it,” I said as we plowed through the flowers. “We’re even. That’s what matters.” Our group continued like this for a few minutes—pausing for each series of three lightning bolts, and then covering as much ground as possible in the intervals between them. While there were some definite close calls along the way, we made it out of the floral death trap without being barbequed. With no more yellow flowers in sight, we stopped for a moment to catch our breaths. This part of the Forbidden Forest didn’t look too exceptional.
