I leaned back in my chair, watching as Kate hesitantly took the red file from my hands. Her fingers trembled slightly, though whether it was from frustration or anticipation, I couldn’t tell. Her body still radiated heat, desire swirling just beneath the surface. I could see it in her eyes, even though she was trying so desperately to focus on her brother, on the reason she came to me in the first place.
But I hadn’t forgotten. Neither had she. Last night was just the beginning, a taste of what I could offer her— of what I could take from her.
In the past, I had never been this patient with anyone! But this woman in front of me… makes me want to savour every last bit of her taste!
