The hospital hallway was too quiet.

Not silent, but calm enough for whispers to carry.

Two nurses stood near the desk, files in their hands, but their attention was in the conversation.

“Did you imagine the opposite ?” one of them asked quietly.The other nurse nodded immediately.“How could I not?” she replied.

“He just walked like it was nothing ,calm, no stress, And then he paid for everything.”

The first nurse exhaled slowly.

“Two patients,” she said. “Not one. Two.”The second nurse shook her head,“I still don’t understand it.” They both paused…

“Do you think he’s with both of them?” the first nurse asked, lowering her voice.

The second nurse gave a small nod,

“Maybe. Or maybe one of them means more to him, Like his relatives. But still… who does that? He couldn't wait for them to wake?”

They both fell quiet again.

The image of him and his confidence, the way he handled everything without explanation -stayed in their minds.

“Handsome too,” the second nurse added softly.The first nurse let out a faint laugh.“That one there's no doubt about it.”

In another room, Lisa slowly opened her eyes.

This time, everything felt clearer. No pain, little tiredness. Just a heavy awareness.

She blinked, adjusting to the light, then sat up slowly. Her body still felt weak, but her mind was awake enough to remember Olivia. “I want to see Olivia,” Lisa said as soon as the nurse entered.

The nurse studied her briefly, then nodded.

“Just for a short time, the nurse guided her steps to Olivia's room.”

Lisa walked into Olivia’s room with careful steps.

The moment their eyes met, Something melted solemnly

“Lisa! ” Olivia whispered. Lisa rushed closer, sitting beside her. “You’re okay,” she said, her voice breaking slightly. “You’re finally okay.”

Olivia gave a weak smile. “I’m still here.”

Lisa let out a breath she didn’t realize she had been holding.

“I thought ” she paused, shaking her head. “I thought I lost you.”

Olivia squeezed her hand weakly. “You didn’t.”

They didn’t talk much, They didn’t need to.

The silence between them wasn’t empty, it was full of relief, fear, and everything they had almost lost.

Soon, Lisa had to leave, Olivia needed rest.

And Lisa understood.

A day after, both of them stood outside, ready to leave the hospital.

But something didn’t add up. “We’re being discharged?” Lisa asked, confused. We haven't paid any bill ?

The nurse behind the desk smiled lightly.

“That’s already been taken care of.”

Lisa blinked. “ Really,, By who?” The nurse smiled briefly then said, “Andrew.”

The name hit hard, Lisa froze ,Olivia’s eyes windthed, They both looked at each other.

No words, they both were shocked.

Andrew!! Lisa’s heart skipped. Her mind went straight back to that night, She swallowed. “…Okay,” she said quietly.

Olivia nodded slowly.

“Okay.”

But nothing about that moment felt normal.

They left the hospital.

Booked a Bolt, Got into the car. Going home was a pleasure.

Lisa stared out the window, but her thoughts were loud, Too much to overwhelm her mind, Her chest felt tight ,Her mind restless.

Then she turned to Olivia.

“There’s something I need to tell you.”

Olivia looked at her.

Lisa didn't hesitate to speak. “That Andrew…”

She paused. “He’s the same guy.”

Olivia frowned slightly. “What guy?”

Lisa’s voice dropped. “The one I was with… that night. After the club.”

Lisa waited, She expected something like some questions…

Anything…

But Olivia didn’t respond.

She just leaned back slowly, her eyes closing halfway.

Quiet. “Olivia?” Lisa called softly.

No answer. Lisa stared at her for a moment.

Then she looked away. “Maybe she’s just tired…” she thought.

So she leaned back too.

All this moments, Olivia is trying to regret her actions, minutes passed.

Then suddenly– Lisa felt a sharp twist in her stomach, she frowned.

Her hand moved instinctively.

Another wave came, stronger and unfamiliar.

Her breathing changed.

“Stop stop stop …” she whispered.

“Stop …Stop the car!”

The driver reacted immediately.

But Lisa couldn’t hold it anymore.

She turned toward the window and vomited.

It came suddenly.

Her body was shaking as she bent forward.

“Ah! Madam!” the driver shouted, pulling over quickly.

Olivia turned toward her.

“Lisa!” Lisa gasped for air, her body trembling.

Her hands gripped the seat tightly, She felt weak, Too weak.

“I… are you okay ?…” Olivia said, her voice shaking.

The driver looked worried.

“Maybe the hospital hasn't finished your treatment,” he said quickly. “This one is not just normal.”

Olivia nodded slowly, still watching Lisa closely.

“Yeah… maybe she needs more medication.”

Lisa shook her head faintly.

But deep down in Lisa's minds, fear had already started growing.

“I’m fine…” she whispered.

But her voice didn’t believe it.

The driver sighed.

“We will go back,” he said firmly. “There’s no time.” No one would argue because it's obvious.

The car turned back heading towards the hospital.

This time, Lisa was quiet, Too quiet.

Her hand rested on her stomach.

Her thoughts raced, “Andrew wanna cause me pain”.

“No…” she whispered under her breath.

Her fingers tightened slightly.

“Please… no…”

They arrived at the hospital. Lisa was taken in again.

“What have I done, why could I not explain things to her, rather than bringing this trauma to her. And I'll be part of the pain”.Olivia soliloquiced

Tests were done. Quickly..

She sat there waiting, Her heart pounding, Her chest tight, Olivia sat beside her, Saying nothing.

Time felt Unforgiving.

The nurse returned. “Lisa.” She looked up at a catchy speed.

Her heart was already afraid.

“We’ve run our tests.” Lisa swallowed hard. “And…?” The nurse paused, “From our findings, It's a pregnancy symptom,” she paused again, because didn't know what they were expecting, she added a smile, and continued. “A nd the result is positive.”

“Positive…?”

The nurse nodded.“You’re pregnant!!!”

Lisa and Olivia froze

Lisa didn’t breathe, The word echoed in her head.Again… Again…And again. …Pregnant!
