ROWAN'S POV
I was woken by a sweet aroma.
Slowly opening my eyes, I could make out Axel's blurry figure standing beside the bed. As my vision cleared, I saw him standing there with a smile stretching from ear to ear.
He was wearing nothing but an apron.
I glanced at the little clock on the nightstand.
5:00 a.m.
My heart practically did a cute three-dimensional anime dance in my chest.
I already knew what he was up to. Who else would wake up at five in the morning to prepare breakfast and then put it in a flask instead of serving it on a plate?
My morning was starting exactly the way I liked it.
Axel gently placed the tray on the table opposite the bed and bent down to arrange everything properly. I was pretty sure whatever self-control I had left disappeared the moment I saw him like that.
Before I could think twice, I was already behind him, my fingers tracing the curve of his waist.
"Babe, stop," he said slowly, still arranging the fruit on the table. "You don't want my stuff all over this plate of fruit, so stop."
"That's exactly what I want, Axel. Extra flavor."
I reached for him playfully, but he immediately caught my hands and pulled them away.
"Hey! Stop. Let me set these things properly."
I raised both hands above my shoulders in surrender.
"Fine."
When he finished arranging the food, he walked over to the nightstand and turned on the music.
Yeah.
This was definitely going to be a long morning.
He walked toward the end of the bed and reached behind his neck, loosening the apron. I opened the sheets, silently inviting him in, my eyes never leaving his.
There was nothing but longing in his eyes.
It had truly been a while since we'd had time alone together. I'd been so consumed by training that I'd barely had time for him.
I had been so focused on beating Adrian that I had slowly lost touch with my romantic life.
Instead of coming through the opening I had made in the sheets, Axel slipped underneath them from the end of the bed.
I laughed softly when I realized what he was doing.
He was determined to remind me exactly how much I'd been neglecting him.
Carefully laying kisses from my legs up to my torso then back to my balls. And I was up before five seconds. .
" Heyy... there we go... what's up big guy?". he said kissing the tip " I know you missed me as much as I did
All the training hadn't taken my want away.
I chuckled softly placing my hands on his head as he takes it into his mouth gradually moving up and down.
I cursed under my breath. I braced myself knowing Axel, he would go faster.
My efforts didn't pay much. I was already making soft sounds my fingers tightly grabbing the sheets.
" c c come on " was all. I managed to mumble out. The rest were incoherent sounds .
He didn't stop. His hands gently holding my legs in place to stop me from squirming.
His tongue traced the line from my balls to my behind like he had practiced for a long time. This was new but the pleasure it came with was intense.
I yelped in a high pitched tone. He laughed silently.
"Well that's a new voice. Bet you didn't didn't prepare for me huh?" He raised my legs higher above my torso staring deep into my half closed eyes " consider this payback for all the time I had to jerk myself because you were out training" leaned in to kiss me" you'll scream till you beg".
" Damn...I miss you" breathing heavily " I'm already high I don't think I'll scream for long Axel" barely holding my words together.
" ohhh but you will" His voice was low and deep. He pulled the lube from side and thrust in.
"Urgghh " I cursed beneath my breath.
"Didn't know you could go high pitch knowing how. deep and commanding your voice is."
" You know getting me this early would completely put me out of place." I cursed him. His grin grew wider. I knew that look and that wasn't something I prepared for.
He went all in, pushing and pulling.
My eyes completely rolled back.
My breath haggard.
My fingers gripping the sheets tighter.
I knew at that moment I won't shoot once of he kept on like this.
I started clamping and squirming hard. That's for sure going to break his long hold.
" Tell me you love me and I'll let you go" He said. His voice lower and deeper than I've ever heard it.
"I l... yo..ba..." I managed to say. My back already arched.
" I didn't quite get that" going faster, holding my legs higher they touched my nips.
" Ahhh... I love you babe." I managed to open my eyes.
I pulled his head in between my legs, kissing him.
" Babe I'm about to cum." I said my leaning my head backwards.
" I know babe" going even faster " you only call me babe when it's almost time. I'm about climaxing myself"
Mennn!! I love this man.
I clamped down with all my strength. He pulled out just in time and we both shot all over the sheets.
I kept breathing like I had ran a marathon. He leaned in for a kiss and I pushed him away.
By the time we finally settled back against the pillows, I was breathing heavily, staring at the ceiling.
"You're insane," I muttered.
Axel laughed.
"You missed me."
"Maybe."
"Maybe?"
I turned my head toward him.
"Don't push your luck."
His grin widened.
I couldn't help laughing.
Damn.
I loved this man.
After months of training, pressure, and constantly thinking about Adrian Callahan, this was exactly what I needed—a morning where I could forget about hockey, rivalry, family expectations, and everything else that had been weighing on me.
Eventually, I dragged myself toward the bathroom.
"Hey," Axel called after me. "Do you want me to help you wash up?"
"Don't even think about coming close to me."
"Babe, it's not that deep," he said, chuckling. "Besides, you love it when I go loco."
"I wasn't ready."
I cursed under my breath before trying to stand.
And that's when it dawned on me.
My legs felt like they belonged to someone else.
I took one step.
Then another.
My knees nearly gave out, and I staggered back onto the bed.
"Dammit, Axel!"
He immediately stopped laughing.
"I have a family event to attend later today. Do you expect me to show up with shaky legs?"
"I'm sorry, B."
His voice sounded genuinely remorseful.
He was always like this—apologizing after completely taking my ability to walk for a day.
"It's fine, I guess. I just want to rest until I have to leave."
I slowly made my way toward the bathroom.
Behind me, I could hear Axel trying not to laugh.
I stopped at the doorway and looked back.
"Are you laughing?"
"No."
"You are."
"I'm not!"
I narrowed my eyes.
He burst out laughing.
"You're impossible."
When I stepped into the bathtub, I immediately realized Axel had carefully planned everything. The warm water and familiar scent were exactly what I needed after a good exhausting morning.
"f**k you, Axel."
"I'm sorry, B!" he shouted from outside, barely able to catch his breath from laughing.
"Keep laughing. I'll make you pay. We'll see who'll be laughing then."
I promised to show him ruthless the next time and I'd make sure he can't move or even get out of bed.
My threat only amused him more.
"Why are you always this grumpy when your legs are shaky?" he called. "I feel worse when it's my turn, but you never see me complaining."
I rolled my eyes.
" Hey." He knocked on the door. " Breakfast is getting cold. Should I come in and join you?"*
"Go away you perv."
" Hahaha. Come on babe I won't laugh again I promise."
"Don't bother. I'm done" I came out the bathroom. A towel around my waist.
I completely ignored his teasing and walked past him.
" You know you always look hot after shower "
" Stay the hell away from me Axel. I'm not fit to go another round right now, I've been training for months now my body needs rest.
"Heyy... calm down B. I already promised you and besides I know you can't really take it." His eyes moving to my legs. " they are still shaking, that's my mark."
Then his words reminded me of Adrian.
The memory of the game came rushing back.
Urgh.
Why did I have to think about that Callahan boy now?
I bet he was having the time of his life after his team beat mine.
Tsk.
I would have been perfectly fine if someone else had scored that last goal.
"Uhhh... B?"
Axel's voice brought me back to reality.
I realized I was gripping my fork so tightly that my knuckles had turned pale.
"You've been staring at that plate for quite a while."
"Oh."
I loosened my grip.
"Sorry. I got a little carried away."
I put a piece of food into my mouth.
"Let's eat."
After breakfast, we went back to sleep.
Axel's right hand rested on my chest while I drifted in and out of sleep. But my phone wouldn't stop buzzing.
Eventually, I gently lifted his hand from my chest and quietly walked into the living room.
I stood there for several minutes, staring at my phone.
I didn't want to check it.
I already knew who it was.
My family.
After a long hesitation, I finally tapped the screen.
Message after message appeared.
I carefully read each of their absurd demands without replying to a single one.
My fist clenched.
Then loosened.
Then clenched again.
My family was my greatest problem.
I didn't have the energy to deal with them.
These messages weren't worth my time or my peace.
I locked my phone and placed it on the chair.
For a moment, the apartment was completely quiet.
Then I heard it.
A soft sob.
I froze.
Slowly, I turned around.
Someone was crying behind me.
"Oh, shoot."
My morning was ruined.
