April POV
Where am I? What happened? I thought to myself. It all began coming back to me in big flashes, I staggered back and grabbed my head in pain.
“I died. I’m dead.” I said out loud. I looked around but saw nothing but the moon slightly hidden by some trees. I scrunched my toes together and realized I was on dirt. I felt grass and small twigs. I must be in a forest.
My ears perked up when I heard a faint humming, I turned in the direction it was and walked forward. I kept my arms outstretched so I wouldn’t face plant into anything unexpected.. the last thing I need right now is a mouth full of dirt.
The humming became louder until I stepped into a clearing. I saw the silhouette of what looked like a child.
