He walked to the edge of the cliff and looked sky ward. " why me?" he whispered. But no answer came, Just the sound of the wind as it whistled past him. "why me?" He asked again, his voice just a little bit louder. He wrapped his scarf around his face as the wind slapped colder against him.  He wasn't getting any answers tonight. He found himself kneeling to the ground, in surender?  He didn't know. He didn't know. " I am just one man." he croaked out. " I do not know how to do this thing that has been set before." A seer had found him, he had avoided, ignored, refuted. But the seer was adamant in his pursuit. alas, Jasper had heard him out, and left him wishing he had never heard him out in the first place. And still he doubted, until he had, as the seer had urge him to do, "read the sign of the time." But how was this to be his call? what business did he have with the royal blood? He looked up again. At dark clouds, a storm was coming. He had a choice, what was to be his choice? could a man avoid his own destiny? He got up and walked away from the edge of the cliff. He may have been lost and confused and unsure. but he wasn't willing to end it all. this didn't have to be the end of anything. He turned his back to the edge and just kept going. not very sure of where he was headed, lost in his thoughts. lost in himself. " if you oh creator will choose whomever you want, why choose me? who am i? I am just a man." A memory of a part of the bible he'd read as a boy entered into his mind. it was one when God had given Isaiah a mission, but Iasiah had said he was just a boy. God had told him not to say he was just a boy, and that he would send him to whomever the LORD willed. He felt God saying that to him at that moment, telling him to trust, telling him he was more than just a man, be cause he was with him. the wind whistled, as he walked on. was it giving him peace, was the Lord in the whispering wind, even here, even now, on this night when he all but wanted to flee what was to come. Did God in all in greatness, choose the cowardly?
