Chapter eight- 5 years

" please tell me in plain words, what do you want?" I stated in a serious tone of voice, he looked nervously at me and replied

"I want you, Rissa I want Larissa Reed" he said while looking at me, has this guy lost it? how could he even say this, he isn't my mate, if he was I would have felt something, a pull like normal werewolves do, but I felt nothing he just seemed like every normal guy to me, this only confirms my suspicions that he just wants to get in between my legs

"are you out of your mind Liam, you're not my mate so why would you want me?" I could not believe the things this guy was telling me, does he think that I am a fool and would be easily swayed with such words, but other than sleeping with me what else does he stand to gain if I fall into this trap

" Liam be honest with me, do you just want to sleep with me?" I asked because that seemed like the only reason he would do this, he looked like what I said really affected him, I could see different emotions flash through his eyes, I saw pain, anger and sadness, but why would he react this way.

That question shattered me, how could she ever think that, she fails to see how much I love her and how much I am willing to do for her, I don't blame her though, I am not her mate and werewolves were wired to believe that only your mate can truly love you, but I have never wanted something more in my life, all I know is that I want her, to protect her, love her and kiss her everyday of my life, I was at a loss of words when she asked this question, I was so hurt that I could not even think of anything to say to her "Liam you don't even know me that well so explain to me how you can love someone that you barely even know" it's funny because whenever a wolf meets his or her mate they fall in love instantly without even knowing each other's names, I could only curse the mate bond, I was she was my mate right now because if I was her mate she would never have said this things to me, but I know I had to set things straight between us, the only thing I could do was to explain to her how much she means to me, and if she doesn't believe me then I'll show her

" listen to me Rissa" I gave her the sweetest smile I could muster, pushing the hurt aside, now was not the time to feel pain, but to make her understand " I have known you for more than 5 years, always admired you from afar, I know every single thing about you, I know you've wished to have a puppy for the longest time now, I know your favorite color is blue, I know you are allergic to peanut butter, I know you hate it when all eyes and attention are on you, you have just one friend and that's Maddy, you hate gym, you love junk food, strawberry ice cream is your absolute best, I also know you despise your father because he left your mum to be with his mate, and most importantly and the most hurtful you vowed to love no one else but your mate" to say she was shocked would be an understatement, she stared at me with utter disbelief, I know it seems weird but like I said I am a stalker

" now do you still think I know nothing about you?" I asked as I studied her face trying to see past the shocked expression she had on

"h...how....do you know so much about me?" she asked after a few moments of silence

" like I said Rissa I love you, and I have loved you for the longest time, I could not muster up the courage to approach you because I knew you swore to only be with your mate, but I could no longer take it anymore so I had to make a move in order to make you mine" she quietly listened to me " during the 5 years I loved you I took time out to find out important details of your life just so I could be perfect for you" I said while bringing my hands to hold hers

" do you still think I want to just have my way with you?" I asked in a low voice

" I...I....I...don't know what to say to you Liam" I won't deny that only she can do some certain things to my body, and that I would really like to rip that gown off her and take her here, but she deserves so much better and that's what is gonna get

" I don't expect you to give me an answer immediately but I want you to know that I love you and only you, and I am willing to wait for as long as you want me to" I brought her hands to my lips and gave it a kiss, she shivered a little under my touch.

wait, wait, how did he know so much things about me, guys that just wants to have his way wouldn't go through so much trouble right?

My God, I was really shocked, for some reason it warmed my heart that he knew so much about me, but how's that possible I always keep my matters private, he knows that my dad left us and he also knows that I swore to wait for my mate, looking at him right now, I can only see love and admiration in his eyes, how can he fall for me like this, he literally had every unmated girl in the pack at his beck and call

" Liam you can't possibly love me I mean...." I could not even come up with any reason, I wasn't even thinking straight

" Listen to me baby girl, you don't have to stress about it, go home and think about it, all I want is that you give me a chance to prove to you how much I love you, but for now let's concentrate on having a beautiful evening" he said with a sweet smile " can you do that for me mama?" he asked as he rubbed soothing circles on my palm, I nodded my head and his smile widen.

The rest of the evening went well smoothly Liam was able to take my mind off his confession and we just talked and laughed about alot of this is told me about how naughty and mischievous he and Nathan his younger brother had been, I told him about my childhood, also about my siblings fight, he found them very amusing and made me promise to introduce him to them, which I agreed to, we spent so much time talking that we didn't even realize that it was almost 11 pm, I made the suggestion of calling an Uber, but he was not having any of it, he then took me to his car and like a gentle man he opened to door for me to which I smiled and said a thank you, the drive was mostly quiet, but I did notice that he was stealing glances, I did not mind and that was strange if anything it made me blush. we finally got home and he walked me to the door, we both said goodnight, I was about to go inside when he held me back , for a moment there I thought he was going to kiss me, which he did but on my forehead, I must say I was disappointed but just gave him a small smile and made my way inside the house, I walked into the sitting room and saw mom, Emma, Colin and even Maddy discussing, they all stopped and turned to face me Maddy and Emma both wore excited expression while Colin had a sly grin mom on the other hand looked worried.
