Chapter ten- Father's Mistake

I woke up feeling well rested, I got and up made my way into my bathroom brushed my teeth and took a quick bath, I threw on some shorts and a shirt, went downstairs, to the dinning area, kissed mom good morning, greeted dad and punched Nathan, mom insisted that I eat breakfast before going to train but I refused since I'll be running the school and would hardly have any chance to train, I'll have to make up for it during the weekend, I also wanted to see Rissa today, I plan to stop by her house and gift her a take her out on a picnic date

" hey Nathan, join me for training will you?" I asked Nathan who again was stuffing food into his mouth " no thank you, I have no energy for that" he said without even sparing me a glance " lazy ass motherfucker" I said walking out of the dinning area " language young man" mom shouted "sorry mi amor" I replied she giggled and continued with her food, she loves cute names.

I trained for about two hours and then headed out of the gym, mom ordered Rhea to bring food to me, but I sent her back with the food, I planned to eat with Rissa at our picnic date, I took my bath threw on some clothes and headed for Rissa's house.

Saturday mornings are usually very slow in my house, Maddy went back home this morning, but not after making me promise to tell her everything that happened whenever I am in a better state of mind, and that I agreed on.

I lazily sat one my bed scrolling through i********:, I was really bored, I only had Maddy to talk to whenever I felt this way, I really have to make more friends, but people be acting weird sometimes

" Hey Rissa, someone's here to see you" Colin called out from the other side of my door " who's it?" I asked but didn't get any reply typical Colin always annoying as hell, I casually made my way downstairs, just before I could see who was at the door I got a whiff of that cologne " Liam" I said, how the f**k do I know that was Liam what is wrong with me. " Hey mama" he said smiling, taking long strides in order to meet me at the stairway, what's up with him and mama? why does he like calling me that, he was clad in a blue ripped jean and black hoodie, now that he was standing in front of me I tried to take a whiff of him without his notice, but guess I was unsuccessful cause I heard him chuckle, but he really smells good "please come with me" he said stretching out his hands for me to place mine in his, I look at his hand then back to his face "to where?" I questioned him with a furrowed brow " just trust me" he said and for some odd and stupid reason I do trust him, Rissa get it together girl I told myself " I need to get changed" I looked down at my outfit feeling uncomfortable "Rissa you look good in whatever you wear, you don't even have to try hard" I was about protesting but he interrupted ".......but if you want to change outfits then it's fine by me" I quickly made my way to my room and threw on a mini floral gown, took my shoes and headed downstairs

I stepped out of Liam's car and he made us walk for about 5 minutes, I was getting ready to complain when we made a stop, I was amazed at the sight before me, he brought me to a lake which had a waterfall, it was in a secluded area. It had beautiful green tree, different types of flowers, I couldn't even explain what I was seeing, it was as though he brought a picture to life, this was picture perfect, but I'd never seen or heard of this place, perks of being the Alpha son I guess, you get access to all the cool places in the pack.

After gawking for what seemed like an eternity, I noticed the picnic blanket that laid across the grass, close to the lake, there was huge picnic basket placed on it, Liam took my hands and led me to the blanket and made I myself comfortable while Liam brought out different kind of food from the basket, this much food for just the both of us?

" I hope you're hungry" he flashed me a sweet smile and continued placing the food on the blanket, even though I did not want to admit it, he was really romantic and it warmed my heart

" Liam?" he hummed his reply " what is this" he sat properly and faced me "it's a picnic babe, what does it look like?" he called me babe, why did he do that, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that he says he loves me, someone he barely knows.....oh wait he knows literally everything thing about me I just remembered he told me things about myself that only few people know " it's this like a second date or something?" he picked up an apple and sliced it with rapt attention....ok that was rude, he was ignoring me " Larissa please stop worrying your little head and just enjoy the picnic" well he was right this was a beautiful sight to behold, we sat quietly for a while enjoying the view and stuffing different kind of food in our mouths.

" Larissa listen...." he said placing the sandwich he held in a plate that was laid in front of him, I turned properly to face him " I know you don't trust me, I wouldn't even trust me if I were in your shoes, but trust that I love you, I've loved you for a really long time, and I know you have doubts about me so I want us to make a deal, I know you feel like I just want to have my way with you so I won't make any sexually advances towards you until you feel I am genuine.....even though I want go do things to your body" he muttered the last part wait what did he mean? for a while I was taken aback, how do I respond to this, now only one question came to my mind "what happens when you find your mate?" now he was the one who seemed taken aback, he seemed to be having inner conflicts, guess his wolf was not really happy about the conversation we were having, for wolves rejecting mates was totally out of the question, only very few got rejected but I doubt Liam would reject her, he'll need her to help run the pack, so this was a question that I already knew the answer

" I'll reject her" he said and stared at me intently, I was now at a shortage of words " I know you think I'll leave you like your dad left your mom but I won't make your father's mistake, please just give me a chance" he pleaded

" If I believe what you say, and decide to give you a chance, do you also expect me to reject my mate if I eventually fine him" he looked so sad after I asked him, I think he just realized that I'll also meet my mate one day, he took my hand in his ever so gently and said " Rissa I am ready to reject my mate and be with you but if you meet your mate and want to be with him then I won't stop you, I want to know that I tried to keep you in my life for as long as the moon goddess would allow even if it means I would loose my mate".
