The teacher translates his wish verbatim to Marina and she agrees to take him there. She promises him that right next morning, she would come to take him to the very spot she had found him.
But it was already late, time having gone by without any of them noticing it. The two men got up and offered themselves to help Marina pick the table. She did the washing up, and cleaning the kitchen and then went back to the dining room. There, she found the teacher and Andrea talking and smoking.
