Chapter 6- Twins

Kyle Pov

“This is outrageous,” Theodore says as he slams his hand on the wooden desk in my office inside the packhouse. "You don’t need to be so dramatic,” Austin says as he rolls his eyes. "She doesn't want to be with him, so why do you care?" I quinced at his words. I knew he wasn’t trying to be menacing, but his words were pissing me off. Theo turns to me with annoyance. " Whatever you do, do not accept her as your luna”, he says with menace. I got out of my chair quickly and grabbed Theo’s shirt. “ Don’t talk about my mate like that. You are my friend, but don't think I won’t hurt you if you disrespect her.” I said with so much anger that everyone in the packhouse could probably hear. Theo just rolled his eyes and slowly took my hands off his shirt. He then fixed his glasses with an unphased expression and said “ I’m not trying to be an @sshole, I’m just looking out for you”, he said with seriousness in his voice. Austin stepped in between us, trying to prevent what he knew would be a fight. “ Okay, guys, let’s not fight? He said with a worried expression on his face. “ Don’t you think we should check on Chris? He went for a run to clear his head and still hasn’t come back yet. " He should be the one we are worried about the most." I stared at Austin in confusion, who only looked at Theo and shook his head in disapproval. Theodore just rolled his eyes“ Last time I checked, I ain’t your messenger and I didn’t think it was appropriate to add more bad news to the mix” Theodore said, Austin just sighed in annoyance. " It’s not bad news, you just don’t like rogues and people you feel are lesser than you," Austin says to Theo. Theo just ignored him and they continued to argue, getting annoyed. I used my fingers to blow a whistle to get their attention. They turned their heads to me looking a bit surprised since I never try to interrupt their daily squabble. “ Tell me, what's going on with Chris.” I said n a serious tone, before they could answer, Chris burst through the door, looking exhausted with a sweat-stained shirt, and behind him, my pack advisor who is also my dad’s best friend Aido, and behind Aido is my close friend and beta Oatis who was carrying a folder in his hand, which he then gave to Aido. Chris took in the surroundings of the room and then he saw my grumpy expression and then he leaped into my arms in an attempt to cheer me up. “ Bro, you won’t believe what happened yesterday,” he said with a childish and playful look in his eyes. I’m not in the mood for his games right now, I have more important Alpha matters to worry about, which concern my mate. He could sense that I was not very interested as his smile turned into a frown which, after giving me the death glare for a couple of seconds, then switched back to a smile. “ OK, you’re not gonna believe that I found my mate”... I stared at him in bewilderment….” And that’s not even the crazy part….. My Mate…..is a guy… I continue to stare at him in shock, “At first I was confused, I mean I am still confused. I found him. We had a moment and then he just ran away from me, like who does that? No one runs away from their mate, especially an Alpha as good-looking as me. I'm confused about a lot of things right now, but there is one thing I know and that he is mine, and I want to be with him, even though I have mixed feelings, but the love I felt was indescri-, “Ok I understand,” I say after I cut him off from his speech which I knew was gonna take forever if I didn't stop him. But this situation is absurd. My best friend and I both found our mates on the same day and they both fled from us. It’s like a comedy but none of us are laughing. Maybe our mates are, who knows. Maybe they’re a sadist or something. I could get into that, but my only wish is that I have my mate by my side. Not having her is the only pain I can’t endure, and I have experienced a lot of pain before my accession to being an Alpha. I was pulled out of my thoughts as Aido cleared his throat ." Since both of you and your parents are caught up on the situation, I want to show you the files that I have on both your mates.’’ Aido went to a chair and then he sat down. He then put down the bunch of documents on the table, which i assume contain information on my mate. He turned around with a smile on his face with only three words, that made my heart drop…. “ Are you ready”.

Chris Pov:

I looked at Kyle, who only looked back at me with the same nervous look in his eyes, as we stared at the document that lay on the table. “ You guys gonna take a look or just stand there,” Adio said annoyed, which I assumed was because getting this information was no easy task, with the rogue confidentiality law that makes it that the school can’t give out personal information on the rogue students for fear of them and their families being unrightfully attacked. Kyle and I looked at each other then went reluctantly to the documents. He took apart the document which had two folders. One said Ace, and the other said Azaela. He pushed the one that said Ace to me and kept the one that said Azalea. They were both still lying on the table and we looked at each other and then took a breath. We opened up the documents at the same time and I lost my breath when I saw my beautiful mate again. There was a little picture of him paperclipped on the folder in the left corner. You could just see his head and neck because the rest of his body was cut off from the picture. He looked bored and unhappy in that picture, like he didn’t even want to take it. I managed to pull myself away from my beautiful mate’s face and continued on to his files. He is 18 and was born on January 18. He passed his classes with all A’s. He doesn't have any record of school throughout his entire life. The past is empty, it's like he is a ghost. So I guess my mate is pretty mysterious. I mean he did run away from me. It also says he currently lives with his aunt and his uncle and also…. His twin sister, who also attends the same school as us…. Her name is Azaela. I looked across to Kyle, who seemed to be patiently awaiting my reaction as if he had figured it out already. “It looks like we’re about to be family,” he said with a grin. I rolled my eyes at his enthusiasm for the situation. Aido and the others looked visibly confused by our reactions, so I turned to explain “ Kyle Mate and mine are twins, they're related’’ Everyone looked shocked, “That's good news, it means that we will most likely find your mates together rather than separately ” Austan states,” It saves us more time. Theodore just rolled his eyes,” of course the rogue mates are related”, Theodore retorts, Austin rolls his eyes, “Why can't you let them be happy”. Austin says with annoyance.“Why can't you mind your business”, Theodore claps back, And with that, they both went on bickering like they usually do. Michel rolled his eyes at the situation and the rest of the people in the room directed their attention to Kyle and me, “What’s the plan now guys”, Michael asked. Kyle spoke up before I could, “We're gonna find our mates, of course”.
