I was amazed that this tour took up almost the whole day, she showed us every class from A to Z and where every activity will take place. At least we got short breaks to catch our breaths and can I say I'm impress by this bull of a woman. She was standing completely normal in her high heels, staring at us as we tried to catch our breaths. She looked almost like someone who would look at livestock that was being send to the slaughter-house, I'm just not sure if she deemed us a good quality or a poor one. I leaned against the wall trying to figure out what she planned to show us next when someone came out of a room and started ringing the bell, every door opened and students started pouring out of the classes chatting and laughing with one another. I pulled my bags closer the same time as that woman stepped towards the wall, a smile graced her lips as the new people argued with the current students to watch where they are going. The looks of the students showed boredom as each one of them looked our way.
"The look like ants." I mumbled as I stared at each one of them.
"They look more like a swarm of bees." a small voice popped up next to me.
I looked to my side to see Theo clinging to my side as if her life depended on it, a sigh escaped my lips as I realized that I haven't completely escaped this girl. Next to her stood a guy almost the same hight as me, his black hair is gell up and piercings covered his one ear.
It reminded me of the time that I sat with my uncle and he exclaimed his disappointment in the younger generation, he said that he could only see everything going downhill from here.
They guy looked at me and I was surprisingly shocked to see his eyes a strange violet colour, he had a good completion and a good body but he looked more like the boy next door type.
"Whatya staring at?" he growled, showing of another piercing in his tongue.
R.I.P my uncles dream.
"I'm looking at an Ass that stood in front of me." I hissed back, squaring my shoulders for a fight.
"What did you just say?" he stepped closer to me, his nose almost touching mine.
"Can you believe it, it is an ass that is incapable of human communication. Noe how should I explain this to him nicely." I growled, staring straight into those flaming eyes.
"And we already have the first Fight on the way, is that correct miss Green and mister Hill?" that woman spoke up right next to us.
How on earth did she move so fast?
I looked at her as she stood there with her arms folded, the group just behind her with their eyes sparkling with curiosity. This is going to start a major complication for the future.
"Miss Green caused the ruckus Miss Pha." this boy spoke sweetly, almost as if butter couldn't melt in his mouth.
"Said the ox that couldn't see where he was going." I huffed, not caring one bit if this woman would hate me after this day.
At least I don't think I have any classes with her.
"That's no way of talking to your fellow student miss Green." she sang, her eyes dancing in excitement.
"Should I be cursing him then Mam." I asked just as sweetly, leaning my head to the side for extra effect.
This is one thing that I hate of her kind, that two-faced mask that they wear so comfortably. They play the people around them as if they were tools to be used for their entertainment, never once thinking of how they might feel. I have seen a lot of them growing up, the most hateful once were the ones my aunt called family.
She didn't say anything for another few minutes, her eyes staring straight into mine as if she'll be able to find something to her liking. I just kept the smile on my face until she finally turned around and walked further, everyone just followed behind her as if she was the light in their darkness.
It was another two hours untill we were taken to our dorms and I can finally move into my room, it was a decent size with two bunk beds. I took my time to pack away all my clothes and put up the photo of us three and some mythology books, after I was done I fell down on my bed and took out my phone to call my aunt. I plaid with the ends of my hair as I wondered if I'll be able to speak to her.
"Hello there my little angel." my aunt laughed, making my heart warm up.
"Hey there, how was the operation?" I smiled, closing my eyes as I imagine her standing in front of me.
"Do I hear a change in pitch in your voice? Is it possible for you to be missing us?" she giggled
"It is a given is it not?" I snorted and laughed softly
"So this level-headed kid of mine is missing her crazy aunt, I miss you just much so why don't you come back home?"
"That's not going to happen or well it depends on what this lecture will do after today." I grumbled
"Did you cause trouble today?"
"No I didn't, it started with an i***t and I unfortunately just ended it with a sarcastic remark." I grinned triumphantly, knowing that my aunt would be shaking her head now.
"Love..."
"I'm really alright, I didn't touch anyone and I just used my mouth. It wasn't as bad as in high school." I reassured her
We talked for a few more minutes about what would be happening now and when I'll be able to see them again, I grabbed my purse and jacket before heading to what I remember her saying would be a small restaurant for the learners. At least they included meals into the life of the students, I really didn't want to head back the all the way to the town just for something to eat. The halls of the building were amazing now that I really have time to look at it, the floor were decorated with white marble and the walls are made of white brick. The windows were large and allowed you to see inside of the school, the ceiling were decorated in different kind of vines. I never knew that people in the olden days could ever dream about something like this. I rounded the corner when I found Theo fussing over that guy, he was sitting hunched as if he might not be feeling well.
"I'm telling you Theo, I haven't used in a long time and this feels exactly like withdrawal!" he grumbled
"When did this happen?" Theo whispered as she patted his arm
"Right after miss Pha left us at the dorms, it is not just me but all the other guys." he growled, looking up at Theo.
I didn't move and my breathing became shallow as I kept the right distance from them, it gave them privacy but also gave me the opportunity to hear what they were talking about.
Now that I think back I do believe that almost every guy did look like they were in seven heaven, they girls looked relaxed but they guys were just hyped.
Maybe they ate something that caused this?
"Maybe you ate something?" Theo voiced my question
"None of us ate the same thing..."
It got quiet after that, you could hear a cricket chirping from somewhere in the distance, when I looked up towards them I found them both staring at me. I cringed inwardly after being caught, forcing my legs to walk faster as I passed by them. I wasn't sure if I heard them calling and something told me it was better not the be caught further in this situation, whatever happened to him is something that he should take care of. I already had that same lesson in high-school, something I really don't feel like repeating myself again.
I walked into the restaurant and made my way to the que, grabbing a plate I looked at the food left for everyone to eat. The chatter in the room was relaxing, it felt like being calmed down with a drink after a long day.
I filled my plate and chose a small table to sit down, the place was decorated like a five-star restaurant it felt out-of-place but somehow as if it should be here. I placed a fork full of spaghetti into my mouth when I hand slammed down next to me, my body jumped as I looked up at the culprit.
"There you are pip squeek." the guy whispered with a large grin on his face.
