Chapter 1: just a normal day

Chapter 1:

Hi there this is my story my name is Laurie. I am 17 years old, I play rugby and study animal nursing at college. When i am not at college or playing rugby, I work at Ham barns on the farm section with Kane (a fellow rugby player)

I can also drive, hi yi yippee!!!! So it makes getting to and from college, rugby training a lot easier.

I was also on strictly come dancing as a professional dancer which was a big step but totally worth it I met so many celebrities from David beckham, Owen Farrell, George Ford to Tom Daily

There's one other thing I should tell you, I am a werewolf! Thats right I am a creature of the night. I howl at the moon. I'm not your average werewolf, I am the Luna of the dark moonlight pack.

I live in a family of humans but they don't know what I am . I wish I could tell them but it would make things very unsafe for them which is why I now live in my own house near them but far away my secret is safe.

Today I am at college and I have animal behaviour, practicals on the farm and lastly animal health and welfare. It's a pretty busy day but it's so worth it as I've got rugby tonight.

*My team is the VIKINGS rugby team. We are trying to win the regional finals to get involved into next years league with the big teams. I haven't mentioned the best bit if we win the finals we get to meet the big rugby teams such as England, France, Italy, New Zealand etc.*

I got snapped out of my thoughts by my tutor Sam who was standing right in front of me. 'I'm sorry I'm just a bit off today I think it's my nerves about the up coming games'

"Laurie can you repeat to me anything I have just told the class if you cannot you need to stay behind after the class has finished’.

I frowned but didn't argue the last thing i need is a letter home from Vivian my course tutor. So for the rest of the session I borrowed my friends notes (karie) and caught up turns out it was parasites which is something I know all about. So I didn't have to stay. I got to leave with my friends (karie, Kane and harry) so the rest of the day past like a blur.

On the way home from college I decided it would be better to stop at home and get changed for rugby practice tonight. Slowly and carefully I pulled of the main road and onto the familiar dirt track through the woods to my lovely little home. Parking my beautiful little blue rover on my drive way I cut of the engine and hop out.

Before I head inside I grabbed my post and had a look through before rugby training.

Bills bills bills letter from my mum, bills college letter and pay slips. Putting aside the pay slips and bills I grab the two letters that interest me the most and head upstairs to my bedroom.

I quickly showered and got changed into my rugby gear and opened the college letter first.

Congratulations Miss Laurie Middleton you have achieved a distinction for your first year of theory. Your attendance is high and your attitude has been that of a perfect student so far. Again congratulations and keep up the good work in your second year.

Yes I got a distinction that's great. I realised I was doing my happy dance and immediately remembered how I was taunted about my body, hair face dancing etc at high school before I transformed.

Lunch time at Aylham high I was walking towards the far part of the field thinking that I would be okay there. BOY was I wrong I was being followed by the school bully deanna and her gang of friends.

I tried to walk faster but tripped over a foot and fell to the ground. Still trying to get away from them I didn't realise the someone had grabbed by bag from next to me and emptied all its contents into the bin. Then poured the bin on me.

Deanna - “trash faces lip is wobbling aww is trash face gonna cry would you like something to cry about” The tears rolled down my cheek making things worse as it made them do other things to break me.

Slowly sher moved closer to me and so did many of the others all of a sudden they grabbed me holding my arms behind me while Deanna threw punch after punch when my lip started to bleed which made her smile even more.

No matter what I did I couldn't get away the kicking and punching of my skin continued. My whole body was bruised some bones where broken.

Wiping the tears away and shaking the memory away I opened my mother's letter.

My beautiful daughter,

I got a copy of your college letter and your father and I are so proud of you. I'm so glad you doing things you want to do.

I'm writing to you darling as we've been emptying the loft and sheds and we have all your stuff in the living room if you would like to come and collect. You can come and collect it all tonight after rugby.

I had my test today hopefully the result are okay. My doctor is positive they will be okay she just wanted to check for cancer in case that lump was serious.

Your sister is wondering if you have any of your old strictly come dancing dresses for her prom. If she can she does want to know if you'll go with her

From mum and dad

My parent always know how to make me smile. With that happy thought in my head I grabbed my iphone and rugby bag and got in the car.

I dialled my mother's number and she picked up on the second ring

"Hi mum how are you? I'm good thank you baby girl? "I'm okay mum I'm glad you did that test. Will you tell misty sure and is it okay if I collect my stuff tonight.

After saying our good byes I got out of the car as I have now arrived at my club.

I walk over to my team and notice that Brian is standing there belt in his hand and and Kirsty on the ground I ran over and positioned myself in front of my fellow pack member taking the beating for her from Brian. Brian is our head coach and beats us before every game. He thinks it motivates us to win.

Once he gave up wiping me with his belt Lee came over and told me that he has a surprise for us all minus Brian. We all had to shower and get changed to meet him by the bus after training.
